This park is a must if you are in Perth if for no other reason than the unbeatable views across Perth from the war memorial . The park contains a wealth of native species of trees and shrubs. There are also the usual cafes and souvenir shops.

The park has beautiful views across the water, and some nice big old trees lining the entry. There is a free raised treetop style walk and lots of lush, green grass. Worth visiting if the weather is nice and you feel like wondering around. Don't expect any fancy manicured gardens though, it's almost all native bush style.

There is really not a lot to say about Kings park and Botanic Garden that hasn't already been said. However if you are an overseas visitor be advised that as well as being a memorial to Australia's (particularly to Western Australian) Service men and women it is also a massive display of a huge variety of Australian Flora. Probably the largest botanical garden in Australia. Park and gardens overlook Perth and the Swan river. The memorial with its cultured lawns could be easily mistaken for a golf fairway. There are a variety of walks on offer for and most cater for the disabled. There is a tree top walk that carries you through the canopy. Really too much to see in one day but no matter how much time you have a real must-see.

Fantastic park that is a stone throw from the city centre. Great for a family barbecue/picnic with free barbecues around the lake and playground area.

A very clean and beautiful park on a hill with a great view of the river and Perth city. It is a must on a sunny day.

It is a great place to take kids, go with friends, with your partner or even by yourself. There are plenty of benches to sit on and lot of space to kick a ball around.

I would personally take a picnic with you, however, there are 3 different places where you can purchase refreshments including ice creams!

Take a wonder down to the Aboriginal Art Gallery. It is small, but provides some beautiful authentic art work. I wanted to purchase a few pieces, I'm just short of a few hundred dollars at the moment to be able to!

It is a popular spot for people to exercise and there are plenty of joggers about. It is also perfect for tourists, like myself, to take beautiful pictures of the city.
