Well worth a visit. Free and centrally located. Interesting and varied permanent collection, and thoughtfully curated special exhibitions when I visited. Spaces are light and airy and show off the works well without being grandiose. Can be done comprehensively in a couple of hours. Cafe also very pleasant.

Not much of an art gallery fan but this place is well worth a look. Nice airy feeling with a range of displays, a well stocked shop and it holds travelling exhibitions as well as the several galleries of its standard fare. This alone means that local residents should probably keen their ear to the ground regarding these displays and so give themselves an excuse to visit a couple of times per year. It should be noted that these occasional exhibits may well have a specific fee.

Very well located in Northbridge which means there are heaps of food options around there are also a number of other museums and small attractions very close at hand which makes this one of the main points of interest in what could be quite a pleasant day spent in a very compact area.

An excellent and cosy Art gallery that is well worth several visits as there is so much variation of themes in here, and something new is found on each visit. The guided tours can be most entertaining and interesting but can be equally dull and uninformative, It's a lucky dip as to who is your guide and what they are discussing on the your tour. Anther excellent source of information are the security staff who are very knowledgeable and are more than happy to have the opportunity to explain the pieces of art. Don't forget to have a coffee in the cafe before or after your visit.

Smack in the middle of down town, and free of charge, this museum has an extensive collection and always several exhibitions at once. There should be something for everyone to like!
We were lucky and got to see the Guy Grey-Smith exhibition, as well as the standard collection and some other interesting exhibits.

Service at the information counter was very good. We got good advice on how to prioritize, and what would suit us (2 adults + 2 children). There is also a nice shop and a decent café.
Since it’s free I recommend anyone to go. If you usually not like are you can take a chance and leave as soon as you want. If you like it you can come again and again.

A great gallery close to the city, many levels of art work to peruse. This gallery previously had MoMA exhibitions which was so fantastic but unfortunately the home bodies of perth again chose to stay home and funding was cut as not enough people came to see the delights. There are a couple of much smaller galleries around northbridge and subiaco if your seeking some local arts.
