We were fortunate to be invited to the Perth Langley for a wedding reception. So we took the opportunity to to take a break and really relax - undercover parking, up the lift and early check in (we need to say no more)! Ccommitments required us to drive to another location and when we returned the carpark was full - but not to worry a friendly hotel employee waived us into the lower carpark (a bit squeezy - lucky we have a small car)
The wedding reception had a nice atmosphere, the meal - cooked to perfection (though the serve portion was overly generous) and there was a dance floor. No need to drive home, so the drinks flowed freely thanks to the friendly staff.
The Bride & Groom left, so did we, to a a kingsize bed (actually more comfortable than the one at home) and a free bottle of italian spring water (good idea after such a great night). We asked for a late check out and enjoyed the "sleep" in.
The gym and spa were on the top floor and the views were magnificent. Now down to buffet breakfast, too much choice and so well presented. Unfortunately I must say the view though the large windows of the back of some old building was very disappointing.
Finally back to the car in the lower carpark. The smell was not pleasant!@#$%^&*
There is an open drain along the wall where parked, full of stagnant water. Petty to spoil such a great twenty something hours. (If only we had managed to get back into the upper carpark)

You also mentioned in your review your concerns regarding car parking and views from your room. We do our very best to accommodate every guest request individually. Our car parking is 'subject to availability, we can not guarantee you will always get a parking spot at the Novotel under cover, however there is parking availability alongside our hotel.
Regarding your accommodation; I am sorry you were unfortunate not to get a view from your room this is also subject to availability unless requested by the guests; I am glad you took the opportunity to visit the gym area on our top floor where you can look out over the swan river and take in the beauty which Perth has to offer.

We stayed here one night after my sisters wedding in Sept 2009. They gave our room key to another couple so at around midnight we had another couple try to get into the room while we were in the bath winding down after a big night, when we told them at reception the next morning, no apology, disinterested staff- TERRIBLE. We also got charged for parking when we had no car parked there, they had no idea what they were doing- fortunately we were able to get the money credited back. We had also heard that other couples that had been staying there before the wedding had a few problems with ordering cars to take them to the venue. The stay there left a sour taste in everyone's mouth, especially the bride as all she wanted was a seamless day.
The room was ok, but for the price (something like $330 a night) I've stayed in a lot nicer places!

Well presented rooms, but bathrooms need updating....mouldy around edge of bathtub grout. old and run-down. Service very good, but they forgot to mention that had to pay parking fee at reception before checkout.
