We stayed here for a weekend deal which included breakfast. It was a good deal especially as the breakfast cost $35 per person. The breakfast was good but $35 is very pricey.
The room wasn't bad -we didn't have a great view but that didn't bother us. We ordered room service and that was prompt and efficient. The only thing was we paid $24.95 so we could watch movies over a 24 hour period. However at least 4 of the movies were not available which was disappointing. To be fair we were refunded our money upon checkout.
The elavator/lift is being updated but didn't cause too much inconvenience.
This hotel is aimed at corporate and professional people which is fair, but the place lacked atmosphere. The staff were excellent, being friendly and helpful but there wasn't a vibe here.
We would stay here again at a pinch but lots of hotels in Perth do special weekend offers and I would check those out first before considering this place.
It's okay but only okay and for a 4.5 star hotel you would expect more.

As Accor members, we redeeemed a free night, got a room on the 3rd floor. Were not expecting much, got just about what we were expecting. Just did not want to spend too much since we were just there for the night. Would not have wanted to pay full price for the room, though. As other reviewers have commented, the room was decent size for 2 queens and 2 arm chairs but dated, mattress was too soft, but this seems to be a bit of a problem in many of the lower end hotels in Australia. Not quite expected of a Novotel, though. Room can get quite cold, especially if curtains are not drawn, which then cuts off the natural light.

Bathroom was quite small and basic, but at least the water had good constant pressure and hot water. Seemed a little dirty, as though it had just been renovated, with powdered residue on the towel racks and edge of the bath tub, but soap dish was rusty, so I really have no idea what was going on. Could have more hooks for hanging clothes and towels.

Used the spa bath which had good views of the swan if the glass would have been clear enough, though for winter, the water was not quite hot enough.

Front desk service was saving grace of the hotel. We checked in at about 11pm and the staff automatically asked us if we would like a late check-out, which we really appreciated the thoughtfulness.

The usual free internet usage in the lobby at most Novotels is really useful for flight check-ins.

On a hind note, the hotel might want to consider doing something about the music and lighting along the corridors. The piped music was really soft, barely audible, and lighting yellowish, seemed a little eerie, especially since I had to get something from the car, so walking along the corridor late at night is not exactly a very pleasant experience.

A bit far to walk to the city, if shopping is your main purpose being in Perth.

Stayed here for a quick 1 night stop over. Booked standard room, "upgraded" to the Club room floor due to Accor Platinum. Room was no different (still quite small) but the added extra's were a nice touch.
Bathroom was VERY dated. Hotel staff were friendly, nice views to the river. The location appears handy on the map but cannot comment from personal experience.
Overall for a 1 night stop was good value, room was okay.

Didn't stay here, attended 2-day conference. Venue room way too small for size of group, very cramped. Staff totally incapable of managing morning tea with any kind of efficiency; insufficient cups and food. Thought day 2 would be better.... not the case!! Lunch was managed slightly better but still long queues. Probably the worst organised conference I have ever attended.

We usually stay at this hotel when we are in Perth because it is clean, the staff are welcoming and professional, the restaurant maintains a good standard, parking is usually available and the hotel is in a location that has easy access for vehicles. The lobby is a great space to wait for friends or to sit and chat. The only criticism arising from our recent stay is that it took quite a while for dinner to arrive from the kitchen after it had been ordered.
