We stayed at the Hyatt for 3 days and was impressed with the standard of the room and the magnificent view of the beautiful swan river. The rooms are spacious and clean although a little tired as the hotel we where told is over 30years old.Location is not so good as the hotel is situated out of the city center and would be a 15min walk to the main shopping center . The staff where Curtis and polite but not very helpful when it came to local advise on where to go even the tour desk where not that interested and mainly intent on trying to sell us there tours and not wot we wonted .I recommend this hotel based on the excellent value of the rooms especially the rooms with a view

Room Tip: a room above the 3rd floor and if possible facing the river

Dear Rohan O
Great to note that you enjoyed your time with us, although I am sorry that our staff were not particularly helpful when it came to advice on what to do and where to go in and around the city – they should all be well-versed in and up to date with this type of knowledge so I’ll be following this up with the team to ensure they have all the relevant information. Also, just for future reference, we offer a complimentary weekday morning shuttle service into the CBD, or alternatively guests can catch one of the many regular free buses that pick up outside the hotel.
My thanks again for your feedback and I hope you will consider staying with us on a future occasion.
Regards

The hotel is a bit old style and the room was a bit dated but in a good location, with very helpful staff and good restaurants in the premises (the oriental food one is quite nice). Good for business. The lobby is always very lively with weddings, happy hours and other events. Pool is not huge but ok for laps.

My husband and I spent the night at the Hyatt and found it to be very disappointing. We had been booked into a standard room and although adequate and clean it looked like it was a bit "tired". There was no luggage 'rack' so we has to lay our bags on the floor - sounds trivial but surely a basic requirement. We were informed that, as our booking had not been made through the actual hotel, the rate of almost $260 per night, did not include breakfast.
The hotel entrance and public areas as very impressive, but beyond that, this hotel is a bit of a disappointment especially as it supposedly five star rated.

Room Tip: Check exactly what is included in your price.

Service was initially great but fell short when actually needed. Room was clean and tidy. Window overlooking the big top of Cirque du Soleil and beyond that the beautiful Swan River. The room safe had low battery warning and wouldn't' lock but was fixed promptly once reported. The breakfast selection included pastries, bread, cereal, fruit and then there was the supposed hot food. Despite bringing the cold and tepid baked beans, rice, potatoes (yuck), scrambled egg mushrooms and bacon to the staffs, then restaurant manager, then the service desks attention and assurances that it would be immediately replaced, at no time was the cold food replaced with hot choices. On leaving the 'Cafe' the potatoes were completely cold. The service desk staff assured us that the hotel manager would contact us about our concerns and a week later still nothing. Patrons from other tables had commented also on the cold food. Apart from the obvious health hazard the actions of staff not promptly replacing the cold food when alerted as promised is shameful. Hyatt clean up your act for the health of your patrons.

Room Tip: Don,t get the breakfast

Dear lorigow
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay at the hotel and I am sorry that we fell short of your expectations on this occasion – particularly in regards to your disappointing breakfast experience in our Cafe restaurant. Whilst I am aware that our Director of Food & Beverage has since been in contact with you to discuss the specific concerns you raised, I would also like to pass on my personal apologies for the lack of immediate follow up on our part and very much hope that you will choose to visit us again in the near future.

We stayed one night here and thought it was good.

Service was great and the room was comfortable. We were on a reasonably high floor so had a good view of the river. We were pleased to discover the outdoor pool and tennis court. Even though the hotel is older, it is still in very good condition.

I'd heard accommodation in Perth was expensive so we thought this was pretty good value for a CBD hotel. It's what you'd expect of a large hotel like the Hyatt.

Booked into the Hyatt last minute and got a very good deal (room and $99 food allowance).
Our room was on the seventh floor and despite us having a rollaway in it, the size was still fine. The room was very clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, toiletries etc, Room attendants came around in the evening and morning to restock things. If you don't like to be disturbed then use the privacy sign.
The king bed was huge and very comfortable as was the pillows. Noise was minimal and more likely to come from inside the hotel. I love to hear the piano which seems to get played regularly.
We managed to get into the pool which was heated sufficiently for this time of year. The gym is really well equipped too.
The staff were all very polite, warm and friendly. I didn't see anyone without a smile and that is really appreciated.
We ate in the conservatory and when there was a mix up with the toastie we ordered, the waiter quickly resolved the issue.
Overall the Hyatt is our favourite place to stay in Perth and we recommend it. The pleasant staff also really add to having a positive experience.

Room Tip: rooms on the higher floors are quieter. There are also different views available - pool, city and r...

Dear mrswinedine
Many thanks for your great review – it’s good to see that you were able to book our Bonus 99 deal – one of several accommodation packages we currently have available. Certainly sounds like you were able to enjoy many of the facilities within the hotel and I hope it won’t be too long before you choose to do so again.
