“Not worth the price”

The only good thing about that hotel is the location. Close to everything in Perth, you can easily walk everywhere. However, the room is too expensive for what it's worth. I paid 135$ for a room with a twin bed. The room was also really small. The bathroom was not really convenient. When you have a shower, all the water get on the bathroom floor. Not really useful. We stayed at the YHA in Perth a few nights before and it was much better that a 3 stars hotel.

This is a very dated property which is owned by a management with little or no regard for their guests. I can't begin to describe the shabbiness of my room except to say that they installed a TV on the wall and actually painted around it so that you can see a different color on part of the wall. Light is provided by a 20 Watt Bulb. The bed is just big enough to accommodate a 12 year old. This past weekend the air conditioning failed. It has not been working for 2 days as of this writing. On top of that the hot water system failed and it took some time to fix that. It is cheap by Perth standards but as is usually the case you get what you pay for. The only good thing I can say it that it is a good location in the Central CBD and the front desk is friendly with 1 exception who shall remain nameless.

Room Tip: There are refurbished rooms in this hotel. Ask for one of those when booking.

If you are traveling to Perth make sure you book at least 3 weeks in advance. Accommodation is at a premium (price as well). All I could get was a room with 3 singles in it next to the air conditioning equipment. The room was clean and the staff helpful.

Room Tip: Book early.

Very basic hotel, you would think at $165 you would at least get your own toilet and shower!!! Ok for 1 night.

The slowest internet I've experienced in Australia (and that's a very LOW bar). Rooms are large but not very attractive. Air conditioning can't keep up even in the spring, can't imagine how warm these rooms get in the full sun of the summer. EXCELLENT location right in the heart of the CBD. A meagerly stocked honor snack bar - everything in my mini-fridge was frozen, suggesting the inventory is a bit old. Elevator was not working during my stay and signs posted around the building guiding guests to the stairs suggest that's a regular event. At A$230 a night I expect a bit more - working internet, working elevator, just a hint more light in the rooms.

Room Tip: Because of the chronic elevator problems try to get a room on the 1st floor (that's 1 floor abov...

I agree with the review by omonkey in all details. This hotel is great value and in a great location. In addition, you can get a single room with shared bathroom for $100 or less. The bathrooms are very clean. Even the shower curtains are washed. There's Foxtel, air con, a fan and fridge. There is a lot of tourist info in the lobby. Reception staff are very efficient and helpful. I liked this hotel and stayed there on 3 separate occasions in Nov/Dec.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn Wentworth Plaza for 4 nights at the end of my holiday in Perth.
I have no complaints whatsoever!
I wrongly assumed I would be able to find accommodation in Perth relatively easily just by turning up so I booked just a few nights in a different hotel for my arrival in the city. I then found that a lot of hotels in Perth were full and ended up having to move location a couple of times around the city and Freemantle. My last 4 nights were at Wentworth Plaza. All the en suite rooms were booked so I had to have a room with shared facilities.
My room was very clean, well equipped, very comfortable and very quiet! There was an ample supply of tea and coffee which was fully replenished each day. The reception staff were helpful, friendly and efficient at all times! Plenty of space, good AC and a cealing fan. The shared bathroom was fine, I never had to wait to use a shower. It was cleaned thoroughly every morning and the only time It looked like it could do with a scrub was after other people had used it and hadn't left it as they found it.
It is an old hotel but I found this an advantage and made it even more charming, the maze of corridors, the big old staircase, the solid walls. If you prefer a brand spanking new, modern, glitzy, trendy hotel with no character then this hotel is not for you.
Excellent location with shops, restaurants, train/bus station virtually on your doorstep. The Swan river within easy walking distance.
I did notice that the location of my room was not near the pub which is on site so maybe a tip would be to ask for a similar room in a location not near the pub. I slept like a baby in my room and didn't hear a sound! It was the least expensive of any of the hotels I stayed in but the best of all of them! Perth is not cheap but I found this hotel to be very good value for money.
I couldn't have been happier and would not hesitate staying here again!! I agree with the comments of past reviewer 'personalchoice'.

My only regret is that I was unable to stay longer!

Room Tip: Ask for a room which is not near the onsite pub to ensure a good nights sleep. If you are travellin...
