I was very dissapointed... But if your looking for somewhere with a plethora of bars and night clubs, then might like...
PRO .... Clean, pubs on either side, no noise
CON .... Smelt (musty/smokey), no constant temprature with shower (hot, cold, warm then cold etc), blanket and bed spread (no quilt), very old, pricy

We love staying at the Wentworth, we always ask for the same room. It's right in the centre of Perth; close to the train station, shops and only a short taxi ride to Subi Oval - yet the price doesn't reflect this!!! Such a bargain!

The rooms are dated, you get what you pay for, yet for a two bed apartment it makes having a special weekend away so affordable. The kids are able to run around the room and burn off some steam and also look out of the windows on to the street below.

It can get a bit noisy of an evening as the hotel is adjoined to the pub, but that's where we usually have dinner. It's child friendly (we sit towards the back of the restaurant away from the tv screens), has really good food and is reasonably priced. It's great eating out and being able to have a roast dinner or 'normal food' so we know the kids are well fed.

Breakfast is usually the highlight of our stay as we just love the buffet! The cooked breakfast options are fresh and plentiful. There is a choice of teas, fruit, cereal, breads, cheeses...everything. We really enjoy it as the kids are happy to eat and it sets them up for the day as we often have action packed days ahead of us.

The check in staff are friendly, efficient and accommodate our needs to be near the lift etc when we bring so much stuff! They also give us use of the luggage trolley. The room key-operated lift is a great idea. that way no-one from the bar can go up to the rooms. You're always so much more safety-concious when in the City with kids, so we like this extra piece of security.

We have stayed at hotels of different calibres all over the world and I have to say that this is right up there with the 'experience' we get from other, more expensive hotels. You used to get free parking but no more. so it adds a bit more to the price if you have a long-weekend stay, yet it's still cheaper overall

You need to know what you're getting when travelling with kids so I would wholeheartedly recommend this place! We always leave happy and relaxed from this friendly, laid back hotel.

Previously visited hotel in 2002 and specifically chosen because of the Bar and Restaurant on site and central location. Disappointed, therefore, that Bobby Dazzlers was closed and Hotel undergoing major refurbishment. Could not dine for breakfast but the in-room continental breakfast filled a small void. Rooms are clean and functional. Staff ever helpful and at least the English Bar (Moon and Sixpence) open and proved good meeting place. The fressh coat of paint no doubt will be an improvement but building workkers walking past you bedroom window from 7.00 am is a little off putting.

Excellent accommodation for a motel/hotel. Room very compact but had all items one comes to expect these days. Lovely decor and colour scheme, good clean shower with good toileteries, very comfy beds, with additional blankets if needed. Excellent location with swimming pool.

This hotel has a great location right in the cbd and a few seconds from the train station.
The hotel is secure with a24hr reception and secure lift to the rooms. The general areas of the hotel are well maintained.
Check in was effecient and as expected.
The rooms certainly lack any character and are simple. It a no frills experience. Great for somewhere to sleep, but you wouldnt want to spend any extended time in the grey box type rooms. But they were clean with a comfortabled bed (unless you like firm beds) and had everything you'd need for a basic stay. A couple of annoyances are the dim, non directional fluro lighting and lacks little convenient things like plug sockets near the bed and space in the bathroom to put your toiletries out.
The room was serviced abd replenished to the best it could bearing in mind the age of the room.
I did not experience any noise late at night and it is directly next to the moon n sixpence pub, but this was not an issue.
In all, the location was great and it is what the name suggests, a comfortable inn, but it wouldnt be one to write home about

This is a very old property with timber flooring and you may hear sound while walking on it. Room is simple with foxtel tv , our 2 bedroom unit comes ith a simple kitchen which is very handy, despite being old it is nicely mentained but the location is brilliant, just off the pedestrain mall along Murray Street. The excellence location also means street noise and the construction proceess outside the hotel might continue deep into the night. If the noise is not a problem for you than this is a perfect place to stay with the low rate compare to others around this area. The hotel doesn't provide any parking facility so if you are driving, this is not an ideal place as the parking rate in this city is very high.

You could probably not wish for amore central location, slap in the middle of town and alongside everything however the rooms are quite run down and drab. Its all painted in a battleship grey colour and the room lights are really dim (25watt). Very worn and dated cane furnishings and old tiled bathrooms with the 60's touch of metal framed panel windows fitted with frosted glass and a skylight over the entry door with the glass paited grey. Some of the old latches on the windows dont work and some louvres cannot be closed so the room got a little noisy. The bathroom had a step down and the door didnt fit the frame so its couldnt be fully closed! Old fashioned aircon units that rattle a little. The room however was spotlessly clean even though the noise from the pubs below could be heard until almost midnight. Staff are friendly and helpful and they let you leave your luggage in a locked storage are. No parking provided and local city car parks can cost up to $24 a time!
