You know what you're going to get with a Holiday Inn.
The Holiday Inn offers a very comfortable, reasonably priced stay within walking distance within most Perth CBD locations, with good room service, included breakfasts and good (expensive) parking.
I would recommend this hotel to people who want good straight forward customer service and an easy going, no hassles stay.

On the upside, the hotel is well located. We stayed for a week, and found the hotel to be lacking in every other respect. The common areas are dark and sadly in need of updating. Our room was dirty and very old. The worst part was the bathroom which had a very unpleasant odor and a floor drain that was constantly threatening to overflow when using the shower or sink. The food was surprisingly good, but the service was incredibly slow. Although the concierge was willing to help, they were not particularly knowledgeable on what to see and do in the area.

Great location and the most comfortable beds. Food quality is great unfortunately the food service does not match. Well located on Hay Street Mall close to shops and the convention centre.

I would stay here again if going to Perth

Stayed here 1 night recently, I must say that the Hotel is good location. Great accessing to all of Perth's places such as train station, bus stop, restaurant, pubs, clubs, cafe, swan tower, shopping center, business center etc. The room was large, clean, big double beds with a very comfortable mattress/pillows, very spacious bath room. The concierge were very helpful.
It is OK but don't expect grand luxury. As we were really only sleeping there, this didn't cause too much problem.

Fantastic location for visiting beautiful Perth. The free CAT buses stop right outside and there are plenty of restaurants, fast food places shopping malls and Barrack Street Jetty, Train and Bus stations within a few minutes walk. We looked at other apartments and hotels in Perth but after visiting for the first time in Nov 2007 we were pleased we'd chosen the HI. The CAT finishes at approx 6pm in the evenings and many other accomodations don't have the close vacinity to eateries and shops which would mean taxis or very long walks.
The staff were always helpful and very informative about the sights to see and the rooms were modern and clean. Would definately stay again if visiting Perth.

Tiny public areas, boxy high-static rooms, low-ceiling corridors, nothing could cheer us up in this depressing place. The "lounge" on the ground floor is so dark that you cannot see properly to read a book. In the end we even took to eating breakfast in the street rather than stay indoors. Staff very nice but the internal parts are desperately in need of better fittings and some sense of space. There is far too much furniture in the rooms. You cannot turn round without walking into something and the single beds are just about big enough for a nine year old child. Turn over and you are on the floor. The best that can be said is that it was clean and the location is useful.
Would never go there again. Not even if it was for free.

  • Liked — It was clean and staff polite
  • Disliked — It is totally closed in.

Very nice hotel within easy reach of everything needing reaching. The rooms were very comfortable and reasonably quiet except for the noise at the rear of the hotel by refuse collectors at night and in the morning. Got a bit busy at the weekend with aussie football supporters. Food and bar service excellent. Staff very helpful, courteous and polite. Got to the hotel via the airport shuttle at a cost of $A30 return.. Good service to and from the airport.. Used Gray Line tours at the corner of Hay and Pier Streets. Would recommend the Pinnacles, Margaret River and Wave Rock tours. Long Days but worth it. Would not recommend the Rottnest Island tour on a windy day in July (Aussie Winter) I was asked by the tour rep if I suffered from seasickness which I dont. However if you are in need of a laxative the shock of the crossing may do the trick. Not for the fainthearted. A very nice weeks holiday only spoilt by the rain ( and they say they need it)
