“Wonderful Walk”

Lotterywest Federation Walkway
Ranked #9 of 178 things to do in Perth

Walk among the trees and flowers of King's Park. The elevated walkway is particularly interesting. You can walk above the landscape and then take trails along the bottom. Plenty of flowers and trees blooking all year long. Lots of birds as well - lorrikeets, galahs, and magpies are common. King's Park is a gem of Perth and this is a wonderful way to see a good portion of the park.

The Federation walkway is an excellent attraction at Kings Park with stunning views of the Swan River from the elevated section of the walkway. For myself, the elevated walkway is the highlight of the walk and there is plenty to see throughout the whole walk. You are walking through the treetops, this is really an excellent attraction and well worth the visit.

It is a nice place to spend a couple of hours if it is not raining or windy. Lotterywest did a great job in funding this project and is well worth visiting.

The walkway is an interesting addition to the park. Lovely views of the park and the swan river and park. Something
Different to do whilst walking round the park. Did find it a bit rusty which was a shame!

If you are in Perth during September go to the Kings Park Festival. Federation Walk is a mass of colour from the beautiful wild flowers, each has its name on a small board which helps with recognising the species. Kids love it and having the glass bridge adds to their adventure. They also enjoy seeing Perth landmarks across the Swan and Canning Rivers. The walk is lovely at any time but we always try and go during Spring.
