Excellent views! Also came here on NYE to see the fireworks, along with crowds of other Perthites. Not particularly the best vantage point, but saves you a trip from going downtown.

It is worth capturing this view whilst exploring the Kings Park/Botanical gardens as it is arguably part of the same walk. There isn't much to say about the lookout other than it is a good view so you may want to take a good camera, good on a clear day.

A reasonably distance from the city, so you would need a car, about 10 kilometres. A restaurant within the grounds, nice gardens and lawns and a great kids adventure playground, free. Many local people take picnic food there and there are free BBQ's and tables n chairs. There are lovely views over the Swan River at its widest point with the city of Perth in the background. Many days of the week there a many yachts in this part of the river.

The Avenue in lined with white gum trees, and lit up at night with various colour lights, while there you can walk through or drive through the park, make use of the playgrounds or sit near the war memorial and have a punic dinner stay until dark to get the lighted view of Fraser ave and the perth city
