We decided to take a bus tour of the Swan Valley during our stay in Perth. The one most frequently recommended was Taste Bud Tours. They were quite booked up but we managed to get on a morning tour which took on more attractions than just wineries. The instructions on where our bus would meet us were very clear and the bus was there promptly at the allotted time. The driver was very friendly and informative, pointing out places of interest and giving a good background history of the area and generally chatting as we went along. We had a reasonable amount of time at each stop off point so there was no feeling of being rushed. We soon filled the shopping bag provided with lots of goodies from the places we visited and would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Perth to see what is right on the city's doorstep.
The only thing I would recommend is that you check the coupon sites before you leave for your trip to see if any are available, as almost all of the other people on the tour had used discount vouchers which had been available the previous month. Just a little annoying when you have paid full price.

Took the morning tour with Loris as the guide / driver / photographer.

Met up with the group for the day at the Wellington Tourist Bus Stop. (To see where it is and how it looks like, use Google Maps, search for "Taste Bud Tours, Wellington Street, Perth", and see the Street View) You get a bottle of water, a lanyard with "VIP" card from TasteBudTours, a Swan Valley map and their brochure with the itinerary for the day.

Places visited:
Yahava Coffee Works - Tasted various types of coffee. The iced one was my favourite!
Cape Lavender - Scones to go with lavender jam and also lavender wine, which was surprisingly good
Mago Coffee - Not as big as Yahava, but the shot of hot chocolate was memorable
Windarra Honey - The honey was fine, but seeing the bees upclose was cool
Oggie's Ice-Cream Cafe - Decent ice cream but you get a huge scoop for a reasonable price. Definitely try the special apple pie flavour.
Windy Creek Estate Wines - Lots to taste here, and you can go again and again. Not particularly huge fan of the wines there though.
Mondo Nougat & Morish Nuts - You get just one nougat of your choice. But pretty delicious and worth getting gifts here.
Whistler's Chocolate Company - Good selection of chocolates for your taste buds
Maggie's Place - Fresh asparagus! And the various chutneys were a pleasant surprise.

All in, the Taste Bud Tour was really fun and ful-filling - for the stomach! But still, might be a better idea to have a small bit of breakfast first.

You feel well-taken care of, the various locations' staff were all ready to receive you, and timing was spot-on.

Definitely recommended.

Fantastic tour. Loris who is the owner and driver gave lots of great information while driving. We could relax and seat back and enjoy the commentary about the Swan Valley and the various venues we visited. It was a delightful morning where we sampled lots of different products such as Coffee, Lavender scones, nougat, nuts, chocolate, fresh vegetables and sauces plus wine.
The speakers from the different venues also gave very interesting information. There was also plenty of time if you wished to purchased anything.
Thanks again Loris for a wonderful tour.

Excellent Food & Wine experience, showcasing the best in the Swan Valley. Passionate owners/proprietors shared their knowledge on coffee, wine, produce, chocolates, nuts, nougat, ice cream & honey (just to name a few). Did you know that asparagus can be eaten raw? crisp, delicious & tastes just like snow peas. (Thank you Maggie for that little snippet!!).The mini bus created an intimate atmosphere with shared jokes, laughter & lots of fun. A big thank you to Loris who not only drives the bus but is also the owner of this delightful "speed grazing tour". Loris is clearly passionate about the Swan Valley, this became evident in the way she delivered a very informative & knowledgeable presentation to us all. The little bag of goodies she supplied came in very handy too... A delightful morning experienced by my family group of 4, would suggest you put Taste Bud Tours on your itinerary when visiting Perth, you won't regret it!!

Loris the tour guide was very informative and new not only a lot of the history of the Swan Valley, but also of all the venues that we were taken to.
