The first time I dined here was when I drove past with a colleague, looking for an Italian restaurant. This restaurant, placed at the large grass area between the CBD and the Swan river would do just fine as Vietnamese was good for our taste as well.
We were not disappointed. Staff was friendly and we had a good table at the window. As a vegetarian I had plently of choice and the entree (do not remember what) was absolutely excellent. the main was quickly served thereafter, but it was also quiet in the restaurant. Again, an excellent vegetarian course. the bill was much lower than I had expected.
All in all a very good experience, one of the very rare moments where I award 5 circles.

It was so good that a week later I went there again with family. This time the restaurant was much fuller on a friday night, yet staff were warm and friendly and the menu, for fish lovers as well as for the vegetarians was phantastic.
This Vietnamese restaurant is absoluetly to be recommended if you are in Perth

From outside it doesn't look like a place with great food, but we were really surprised by the quality. The salt and pepper squid and the duck are for sure excellent

Terrible service. Menu looked great and the three of us ordered an entree to share while we waited for mains to arrive. Very tasty entree (but tiny serving) came reasonably quickly, but after about 30 mins still no sign of mains, (during which time a large group had arrived). We'd asked several waiters what was happening with our food and were told "shortly" and another time, "order is with the chef now". Another 30 mins (1 hr after ordering), still no food, large table being served, as were several other diners who'd arrived after us. Asked again what was happening. Apologies were given and we were offered a free bottle of wine and were told chef was cooking the food now and it would be here soon. 20 mins later, no food, no wine and we walked to the head waiter and said we had to go. She said "2 minutes, 2 minutes" but enough was enough and we left. People make mistakes, and you deal with it, but when you're constantly lied to, that's too much.

The staff gave a very disappointing first impression - not having processed our reservation as requested (table by the window) and having given wrong information on the phone ("any BYO accepted" although it's actually BYO wine-only). However, the service from there on and the food selection on their menu managed to soothe the mood, and thanks to options like "build your own curry" there is something for everyone - veggo, meatlover, seafoodie.
