We were instantly attracted to this place as we walked by - I mean, unless its a tourist strip, an overflowing cafe can't be bad right? Despite being busy were seen to promptly by the very friendly floor staff.
The food on offer was a great mix of things you can have on, you guessed it, toast. I had one of the few exceptions to this by getting the egg + avocado on corn fritter, which was delicious! By all accounts, the actual toasty offerings were pretty good too. Smooth coffee topped off a pleasing brunch. Again, despite being very busy, we did not have to wait long for food or coffee.
Now, the biggest and maybe only gripe I have about this place was the seating inside. Two walls of the cafe have cushioned bench seating that was absolutely filthy. Full of stains, crumbs - never been dry cleaned either I'm guessing. Quite out of place in an otherwise trendy cafe.
We'll definitely be back - but next time we'll request a seat outside!
