I have long been a critic of the boring old brekkies served up around Perth. Most places have eggs lots of ways, plus the standard fry up fare. Toast is different.
You don't need to book which is a bonus, who wants to be on a schedule at brekkie. We had to wait, but only for 2 mins and they had a gr8 queuing system that was very fair and ensured that no one was forced to table hover.
The menu is extensive with diff types of breads, crepes, savoury options, sweet options...I am looking forward to returning to try diff things each time.
I had corn fritters with bacon n maple syrup, and ordered a side of fresh avocado and multigrain toast. The bacon was crispy, the fritters delicious, and this big brekkie kept me going all day, no lunch required.
Walking along the water front and around the river afterwards was a beautiful leisurely stroll on a sunny morning. The landscaping, sculptures and other interesting features around were fascinating.
What I also liked was the total lack of pretentiousness, this place is about the food and is done in a brekkie deli style, not a stuffy restaurant....all round a perfect brekkie in so many ways!
