“A great relaxed Sunday afternoon”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

We love to pop into the ironbark for a drink on a Sunday arvo on our way home. The atmosphere is good, nice & relaxed with live music & friendly staff. We have also eaten here on several occassions & the food is excellent & a good size. There are several dishes that are share platters & fantastic woodfired pizzas which is a great idea as we have gone with a group & it is good to have a snack while you drink your beer or wine etc. If you are going for lunch or with a large group you really need to book. Overall this is a lovely relaxed casual way to spend a Sunday arvo - or any day!

“Lovely Day in the Swan Valley”
Reviewed May 11, 2011

We braved the Mother's Day crowds for our first visit to Ironbark and were pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely - we shared the rouseabout platter and a pizza and also tasted the beers particularly liking the red beer, ginger beer and pear cider. It was a most relaxing afternoon with friendly service and not too crowded overall. Our daughter loved the little video nook which gave us peace and quiet right through lunch.

“An unpretentious Brewery Cafe in the Swan Valley”
Reviewed March 29, 2011

Just spent a Sunday afternoon at the Ironbark and loved it. We went with two friends who are regulars since it opened and who have watched the place evolve. It is an Aussie Outback style and really has that bushy, country feel to it. The range of award winning beers is good, all made on site and of a world class standard. I enjoyed the Country Wheat and the Mexican Cerviza. Food choice was good and our friends say that the menu has never altered and remained loyal to the theme. Blackboard specials of the day are in addition to the menu. We all enjoyed our meals. A visit to the website will show the menu. The atmosphere was great, with a muso in the corner belting out tunes and will take requests. Prices are fair and the level of service is good. The venue can be booked for functions. All in all, a very nice spot, without the oversized hussle and bussle of some of the other Brewery Cafes in the Swan Valley. The Ironbark is not as glossy as the others and that is what gives it the authentic charm I feel. It appeals to tourists and locals in the know and open from Wednesday to Sunday, with live music on Saturday and Sunday.
