“5 Day Perth to Exmouth- Loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

Best value for money tour I have ever been on. My husband and I have travelled extensively overseas, and this is the most organised, best value tour we come across. We fit so many sights and activities into 5 days, but did not feel rushed. The tour included lots of driving, but our tour guide kept us entertained and informed of the surroundings. Accommodation was basic backpackers hostels, but all were clean and pleasant. Food was great! Simple BBQ's and salads, but always fresh and plenty to eat. Couldn't believe that the price included ALL meals, including snacks and fresh cold water on the bus. The only thing we paid extra for was alcohol to drink with dinner and optional activities like whale shark diving.

Big appreciation to the guide, Cindy, who was bus driver, head chef, travel agent, entertainer and knowledgeable tour leader. There were a lot of amazing sights and she managed to fit them all in without too many early mornings and with enough time to enjoy ourselves at each place.

Wish this company did other areas of Australia.

“9 Days Perth to Broome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

I normally hate tours, but I had a surprisingly great time with Aussie Wanderer (Perth to Broome) - met some great people and had a blast. I booked it reluctantly because if you want to travel from Perth to Broome solo, then a tour is the only realistic option unless you're rich. Renting a car alone is ridiculous because WA fuel prices hit $1.80 a litre in some roadhouses. Also you cant get to Karinjini National Park by public transport and the Greyhound bus service going up the coast is RUBBISH. Don't even think about hitchhiking unless you want to be waiting in the road forever as WA is very isolated.

About the tour, Karinjini National Park was the highlight of my tour and the best part was staying 2 nights in the eco-retreat lodge. The tour also drops you off in other great places like Julien Bay and Shell Beach which would be hard to get too if you hitchhiked…..

The Aussie Wanderer journeys are long, so I recommend taking an ipad to watch movies and some books to read on the bus. Another idea is to leave the tour and spend a week in either Coral Bay or Exmouth, then get on another Aussie Wanderer tour that leaves a week later. - Doing the whole tour in 9 days is a lot, so a week-long break in between is good.

“South west tour...excellent!! Brilliant tour guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

It was my first tour in Australia, food was excellent all fresh and freshly prepared. Hostel in Albany was lovely, forest stay accommodation was ok a little dated. All the places and things you do were really good. But I must put it excellent experience overall to our tour guide Cindy, she was brilliant very helpful, informative, really took great care and put great effort into everything!!

“Highly recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

We a group of siblings in our fifties did a 3 day tour Perth - Albany - Pemberton - Perth. What Cindy managed to fit in in such a short time was incredible. There were too many things seen and done to mention all, however below are a few:

Albany, 1849 backpackers, valley of the giants treetop walk, natural bridge, the gap, Gloucester tree walk.
Margaret river. Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Cumbria rock - Busselton jetty, the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, Mammoth cave,

The accommodation on night one was at the 1849 backpackers, which was clean comfortable, good showering facilities and fresh pancakes a plenty for breakfast. The accommodation on the second evening was at a cabin in Pemberton forest, a little chilly but ample bedding to keep us all warm and a lovely location. A lovely BBQ all prepared by Cindy.

On the whole I would highly recommend this company and the tour, it is a backpackers and as such the food and accommodation is as such, but could not fault them or Cindy, who did all the driving, cooking and led from the front on the adventures. Thank you.

“Apalling.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

How extremely disappointing. Three people (2 poms) happy with their company today as the driver didn't talk, at all. Late start, early end, no explanation as to why not went to ? Bay for a swim, as one of the few things he said. No bay and no swim. No water offered, no tea, coffee. Morning tea half a croissant only, at wildlife park which was rushed thru and then left to wait for no known reason for 20mins whilst could have been looking at areas not walked/ran thru. Waste of $435-. I will take them out myself and never use your firm again. Sincerely.
