“Interesting way to get to fremantle”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We took this cruise at the very last minute when we had a morning to kill before a flight. We booked it 30 minutes in advance. Booking was no problem. It was very rainy when we went and we appreciated the covered boat. Seating was very basic (plastic chairs and tables). One Tip is to sit on the Right side of the boat (starboard), which one of the staff recommended, that's where most of the sights are.

The tour is slow paced and on a very calm river, so no rocking or anything like that. We found it interesting on the way down, but also took it back, which was somewhat boring as we had already seen everything. (To his credit the captain tried to liven it up on the way back for the small number of people who went both ways). I'd recommend using it as a way to get to fremantle and then going onward from there.

Price seemed somewhat high for what it was. Staff was friendly enough. We did not try the complimentary coffee or whine so can't comment on that.

“Nice gentle cruise, average food for a high price, limited healthy non-alcohol drink choice.”
Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

The cruise was gentle and the information about what we were seeing was good. The food was coleslaw, potato salad, pasta salad, green salad without dressing, lasagne, rice and beef curry. There were also fresh prawns. Good for people wanting a relaxing 2.5hrs. More suitable for retirees

“Fantastic Friendly.”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Nice 3 hour luncheon cruise along the Swan river from Fremantle to Perth and back.
Great scenery, nice atmosphere, and very friendly service.
The buffet lunch was very nice.
The staff were very accommodating with the birthday cake for my wife, the timing was perfect.
All the kids made a huge mess with the cake, and there was no complaints from the staff, (we apologise for that).
So a Huge Thank You to Captain Cook Cruises, we will be looking forward to returning.

Kind Regards,
Tas C.
