“Another side of Perth”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

As a Perth local of thirty something years it was a great reminder of what is in Perth's own backyard to take the afternoon cruise to Fremantle and return to Perth . Great views of the city and properties surrounding the river, small pieces of local history were given out during the on board commentry, a passing parade of sailing boats, ships and other forms of water craft. Excellent value at $35 per person which included tea & coffee with wine tasting on the return journey.

“Cruising on the Swan”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

A friend and I joined the cruise which included luncheon and a visit to the Water's Edge Winery near Guilford, and it was a treat. The peaceful cruise giving us a good view of the scenery on both sides of the glorious river. The weather was perfect and we met two lovely folk from the US, who sat at our table and chatted with us. the lunch was great - wonderful food and so much, no one would go hungry, and the complimentary wine was most enjoyable. It was interesting visiting the winery, especially learning its history, and the return journey with dessert (yum!), and entertainment was a treat.

“Capt. Cook "World Famous" Wine Tour”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

on February 15th, a bunch of us from the cruise ship Solstice took a fun cruise up the Swan River sightseeing beautiful shorelines and viewing swans, horses, ducks, etc. Then we visited 3 wineries for tastings and a super 3-course lunch at Water's Edge Winery (mains were ordered ahead of time and called in from the boat.) A 3 person crew - all young, pretty, and friendly females btw - provided much information + beers and wines (included with purchased ticket) during both directions of this 6 hour adventure. A definite highlight of our Australian circumnavigation cruise. Man, it was HOT, but the a/c'd boat kept us cool (the beers and wine did too!) Just do it!

“Leisurely morning sailling the Swan River”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

We spent a leisurely morning sailing down the Swan River on a Captain Cook Cruise. We were lucky enough to be on a small boat with free wine tasting on it. The scenery was beautiful and the commentary was entertaining and informative.

“Perth To Fremantle Swan River Cruise - Captain Cook Cruises”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

We were lucky with a perfect day weather-wise. Everything was organised very well including a late change of date because one of our party was unwell for the original day booked. No extra charge by Viator. There was complimentary cold water, coffee and tea and we took our own picnic lunch. The only complaint we would have is with the commentary. It was very limited and including very little information about the places we passed. Because we had a person with a hearing disability in our party, I had copied a route map from the Captain Cook website and then made up a sheet of information about each place highlighted on the map. We all found it much more useful than the on-board commentary and even shared it with other passengers. We will pass this on directly to Captain Cook Cruises suggsting they include an information brochure with tickets to help make the otherwise excellent cruise more informative. It was a good value price and the boat was clean and travelled very smoothly. Staff very efficient and friendly
