“Attended several events”

Perth Convention Exhibition Centre
Reviewed December 26, 2012

The Perth Convention Centre is a great place to host events. I have attended several events here through work and I believe the space and size offers itself to great exhibitions. There is also the riverside theatre for concerts. I have attended the ballroom for the Training Awards - always looks spectacular with great audio & visuals.

The building is boring itself so only go if you know of an exhibition to see. Parking there is very costly so beware ~$12 for a few hours. Whilst there you may wish to visit the living roof next door at the bus station where you can stroll around amongst a peaceful quite rooftop garden that is not well known.

The only downside was that you had to walk back on yourself to get to the next exhibit, which was a bit frustrating!! The Aboriginal section and semi-precious gem part were especially good! Kids loved the stuffed animals too, some of which were from the 1890's and still in amazing condition!! Worth a visit, especially as they only want a donation.

I attended a WHAT IF function for the City of Perth, where people with imagination could voice an opinion.. I asked if the City of Perth would complete the section of cyclepath on Aberdeen St between Beaufort St and William St - which has now been done.. Next I will be asking them if they will consider completing the next 100 metres from Beaufort St to Stirling Street.. Maybe next year..

One of the few venues in Australia where there were ple4nty of Lady's Loos! I attended a conference of over 900 people for 4 days with the majority being female and it was such a relief never to have to stand in the usual line!!
Food and service by staff in catering morning and afternoon tea nad lunch was excellent.
