The trains and fast and reliable, if you miss on its not long for the next to arrive. The staff are very helpful to travellers and will always point you in the right direction and the fares are good price.

I travelled from East Perth to Kalgoorlie and back on the Transwa prospector train. The train was quiet, fast, clean, comfortable and modern, with toilet facilities and porters at the end stations. There was a modest selection of films, music and television shows which I thought could have been expanded. Bring some reading material or some electronic entertainment to pass the time. I liked the driver's view camera. The meals and snacks available for purchase was takeaway and not of high quality, but cheap. I would recommend bringing your own meals if you value eating healthily. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, were available for purchase as well as free drinking water. You cannot BYO alcoholic drinks. The staff were polite, helpful and professional. Overall, a very enjoyable trip.

This is a very unreliable service, if you book online they fail to advise you if the train has been replaced by a bus which has less comfortable seats and no wheelchair access, no kiosk, and the toilet is impossible to access if you have balance problems. It also takes longer than the 2.5hr train trip and if you aren't prepared ( e.g had planned on buying breakfast or dinner or even water on the trip you are in for a very uncomfortable trip. And forget it if you had hoped to have a nice wine as you watched the beautiful scenery go by in your comfortable train seat! Just isn't going to happen!). But don't bother complaining you weren't informed, it's. on their list that you were despite your ticket showing your train car number and seat number and no mention of train services being ceased for a month! But having used this service many times if you do actually get the train it is a wonderful journey through local countryside - make the effort to stay overnight or for a couple of days and explore the wineries and dolphins etc in Bunbury and catch the 6am train back to Perth and watch the amazing sunrise over the hills and plains.

TransWA a offers a great and quick service. It's pretty easy to get around and that quite frequently. Also the tickets are affordable consider the distance you could/can ride on the train. If you wanna save a few bucks, get a SmartRider (card), top it up with money and use the "tag on/off" facility. That makes it easier and you don't need to think what zone you might need to buy.

I love that train service, as those trains are clean. No spilled food and drinks and it smells alright in those trains as a result of it. Also I give it a thump up to the TransWA advertisement on the train, as those ones are quite smart and made with a good sense of humour.

I definitely recommend to use TransWA, as you will see cars queuing up in the rush hours for 10s and more kilometres, not going anywhere! Also, it's possible to relax on the train which in addition offers a fantastic air-con-service and view.

Perth metro area has good trains sadly not linked to the Airport. It you have a station close to you use it! Faster than cars without parking hassles.

Europeans need to use cash -international credit/ debit cards don't work- duh! Don't bother the staff they are busy chatting!

Beware the network suffers poor signage with limited retail at stations. Check your zones and leave plenty of time for the auto ticket machines slow and overly complex. Some cannot be read easily due to the sun!

Great for people watching the late afternoon trains ex Perth centre let you see a lot of "body art" WA must have the most tattooed population in the world!
