We called up to book on the day and this wasn't a problem. Staff were polite and helpful and we really enjoyed the tour with Simon. He was friendly, funny and very knowledgable.

The tour cost $20 and ran for an hour. Most of the hour was spent inside viewing items and watching a video. Simon was keen to answer any questions and give additional infromation.

At the end of the tour you could sample pearl meat... my husband said it was delicious.

Well worth $20

Absolutely worth it. We tied it with our Broome Discovery Tour so, timing-wise, fitted in well. I think it was $20 per adult. The tour/presentation goes for an hour and believe me, it flies quickly. Our guide Simon, was very knowledgeable and witty. His narration made it all the more interesting. The history of the pearl luggers, the life-threatening dangers and hardships they faced every time they dived - was a huge eye-opener. Parents, do take your kids. They will love it. Especially those that are 8 and above. They will be fascinated. The tour is very hands-on too. We got to hold the equipment the luggers used, the clothes they wore....The short film at the end is also very informative. It was an incredible experience - enriching, touching and one that will blow anyone away! I would rate this as a Must Do in Broome.

This tour is excellent.
If you are planning to visit Willie Creek Pearl Farm, Pearl Luggers is best done first.
The insight into the life of the early pearlers is both scary and fascinating. You get to see and handle many authentic artifacts & exhibits.
The talk is very well put together & the film at the end make it all the more 'real'.

I only went there because another traveller advised me that it was excellent. It was one of the most interesting things we did on our eight-week journey. The presenter was charismatic and brought the historical information to life (I am not normally a "history buff").

Wasn't sure what to expect from this 1hr tour and was blown away by how great this tour was! $20 per adult (discount given when you book 2nd tour). Guide (Simon) was both knowledgable and charismatic and provided a very informative tour. A must see in if you want to learn about Broome's Pearl Luggers.
