We chose a day flight over the horizontal waterfalls then stopping at Cape Leveque and a boat trip taking in giant tides.
Very happy with the experience and would go again in a heartbeat!

Kimberley Aviation's Pearling Pioneer Tour was the best tour I have ever been on and the highlight of my Broome experience. While other reviewers capably capture the wonderful people (Sadie, Johan, Fred, fellow passengers), visually magnificent places, food and activities, I would just add that if you had only one day left, this would be a great way to spend it!

Flew with Kimberley Air on a day long trip around Dampierland. Picked up at our apartment by the delightful Sadie, and introduced to Fred, who proved to be a most caplable pilot. First feature was Horizontal waterfalls, which I had only ever seen in pictures. Flew over the Buccaneer archipelago to view a string of wild islands. The wilderness of this area could really only be appreciated from the air. Cape Leveque for breakfast - very generous, more than we could eat, - and a swim in the warm sea. Lovely beaches. Next stop was Cygnet bay pearl farm - the only working pearl farm open to the public. A lecture on the process of selecting oysters and seeding them, the maintenance of the farmed oysters, and an overview of the farm from a lookout. Then we got to handle the fruits of their labours - real pearls were passed around the group, and their individual merits and value described. We also got to handle strands of pearls ready for sale. It can take five years to assemble a matched strand of pearls. These pearls are out of my league, but it makes you appreciate the value when you see what a time consuming, and labour intensive industry this is. We were served a generous lunch here, - curried sausages and rice, salads, iced tea and fresh fruit. Once again, generous catering. The last stop was Beagal Bay - recently included in this tour - and afternoon tea. This aboriginal settlement of sixty-six families has been presided over by several different branches of the Catholic church as it attempted to convert the residents. During the first world war, German priests and resident aboriginal people built a large church, making all the bricks and mortar on site. The aboriginals then did extensive decorations with shells that they collected locally. A huge imposing church for the congregation of thirty. We met Father Hilary. Five months ago he was plucked from his homeland of Kenya, and installed at Beagal Bay. He admitted that it was quite a culture shock. We were treated to tea, coffee, beautiful spring water and freshly baked teacake. This flight cost us a little less than the flight from Melbourne to Broome, but the opportunity to see such interesting places all in one day, the commentary and the people we met made this flight worth the cost, in our opinion. Also, the food was better !!!

We did Kimberley Aviations Horizontal Falls, Bucaneer Archipelago and Cape Leveque half day flight and had the most amazing time. The scenery makes for an absolutely stunning flight which was the highlight of our holiday. The personal service and professionalism offered by this company is second to none. The stopover and restaurant quality breakfast at Cape Leveque was fantastic. This is a must do experience when visiting Broome. Thanks Sadie for arranging a memorable Mothers' Day flight.

What an amazing tour? Definitely the highlight of my WA holiday. Truly did showcase the best Australian experience I have ever had. You get a real sense of how vast and beautiful this unique area is. The colours were so vibrant, the sights awesome and you got to see so many. Gorgeous Cape Leveque (yummy breakfast) where we were the only swimmers, astonishing Buccaneer Archipelago, Horizontal Falls, Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm (delicious lunch), and then the blast through the rip-snorting Giant tides. Wow! Also impressive were the Kimberley Aviation crew, so friendly and obliging. We were so well looked after, nothing was any trouble. Thanks Matt and Andrew for an unforgettable day.
