This is a great place to experience the real culture of Broome and see locals playing in the water and enjoying the park.

Been visiting Broome for 8 years before we moved to Broome to go and walk out to the Catalina plane wrecks out from Town Beach. Need to de done on a very low tide like 10meters. And go early as the tides come in fast. Well worth the walk out and do it with no shoes on as it's much easier. It's a lovely walk out over the sand flats to see this amazing WW1 remains that is submerged under sea water until our amazing Broome low tides. Also enjoy what mother nature has to view on the walk, brilliant star fishes, might be lucky enough to see a turtle like we did. Take water and a camera for sure.

We were very fortunate to have one of the super low tides that occur each month giving us the opportunity to walk out to the plane wrecks from WWII. Much easier not to wear shoes as you are on mud and it is very slippery in shoes. Eerie and reverent atmosphere. A must do if possible. Allow an hour walking before the lowest part of the tide. The tides can come in quickly.

Sure, everyone ends up here after facing turquoise water, red cliffs, white sand and green mangroves. Broome is a town full of vivid colour and tropical lushness, with an interesting history and composition quite unlike any other Aussie town, to boot
The early inhabitants were obviously foodies,as the town was founded because of its close proximity to vast beds of the Southern Ocean's magnificent large oyster. Broom's past and present is wrapped up in the pearls that these beds are harvested for.
The resorts of Cable beach have brought the town much publicity and sophistication. Its a fascinating oasis and a very good place to enjoy a couple of days.
Ps. dont bother dressing-up... it ain't that style of town. Whale watching is big in the season
