“Blue camels are best”
Reviewed June 1, 2012 via mobile

After reading the other reviews and doing our own research we chose Alison Bird's blue camels. It was a fantastic experience. We did the sunset tour. Alison and her staff are very professional, yet light hearted and up for a laugh. Alison carefully picks each persons camel, to try and suit their needs. This personal attention is appreciated and makes for a great tour. The day we went there were four young men helping, walking beside us, answering questions, taking heaps of great photos on our cameras and just generally chatting. Each of these men were knowledgeable about the camels and really cared for them, it wasn't just a job. All camels were well looked after and it was just a great time. Definitely worth it ... go the blue camels.

“Blue is best!”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

I spent nearly two weeks photographing camels at sunset and paying attention to the three companies on the beach. They all go the same route for the sunset ride, so it's not like there's any difference in time or route between the companies. I chose Broome Camel Safaris (the camels in blue) because I'd read about Alison Bird and her love of camels. Her passion is an inspiration. If you love animals and understand how a person can eat, sleep, live, and breathe them, I'd encourage you to ride the blue camels. Best value, best heart, best camels. Thanks to Alison, Julius, and crew for a wonderful sunset ride.

“Fantastic and so relaxing”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

Right from when we got to the "Blue" camels we were made very welcome. The whole team were very informative and helpful. They were more than willing to take photos with our camera and we got some fantastic shots (thanks Kim!). The camels were handled with professionalism and care and we got some great information about our camel along the way! A must if visiting Broome, and highly rate this company.

“Friendly staff and Camels”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

We (4 of us) booked a tour with Broome Camel Safaris in early May. There are three companies who offer the same service but BCS was $10 per person cheaper, and the girls got a pair of pearl earrings (freshwater so I guess that they are imported which isn’t a great way to support the local industry but they are free)

The camels were all well behaved, the staff were fantastic and it was a good way to spend an hour.

The other two people we were with had done the camel thing before at Cable Beach and told us that we would have to buy photos afterwards (which is what happened when they did the tour with another company), but the guys from Broome Camel Safaris ran around with our cameras and took photos at all sorts of angles which gave us something to show family and friends upon return.

I highly recommend that if you are going to do a camel ride, that you book with this company.
