Working for an airline, I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels. The staff, rates, rooms and service was amazing.
Broome is not my typical holiday destination but after staying here, I would visit Broome again, simply to hide away here.

As I looked at the buildings from the road, they reminded me of a typical American "motel". However, as we entered the lobby and our room, it was clear that this was going to surpass those expectations. Rooms were well appointed, modern design with Nespresso machine in the room and good shower fixtures. The balcony was actually usable (facing a relaxation garden). The air con could freeze you if you wanted it to without being noisy. Bed was quite comfortable and I slept very well.

The swimming pool was a little cooler than I wanted, but refreshing and not busy. There were plenty of lounge chairs with towels provided. These chairs were arranged to provide some privacy in smaller groups. The hotel was also quite close to the beach as others have indicated. We used the fitness room on one occasion equipped with cardio and strength-training equipment (no free-weights).

We foolishly did not eat at the restaurant even though it was highly recommended. Next time we should.

We stayed a couple of days there in August. The hotel is very close to the famous cable beach. We rented some bicycles at the hotel (which were in excellent technical shape) and it was just 5 min. We would generally recommend to rent bicycles to get around in the area. There were not too many cars and it was great fun. The hotel has modern rooms with everything you want. We liked the food served in the bar next to the pool. The pool itself is not too large but the architecture of the pool area is made in a way that quite a lot of the chairs offer privacy. The atmosphere in the hotel was rather quiet, nice staff from all over the world. I liked the healthy breakfast choices (bran flakes, fruits). The restaurant is ok, but I did not consider it best in town. Will come back.

My husband and I have just returned from 4 days at this lovely resort for our 30th wedding anniversary. We have been to Broome a few times including for our honeymoon all those years ago.
We had decided to really treat ourselves by booking this accomodation.
Over all we have had a wonderful time, the ammenities are luxurious, the surrounds complement Broome so well and the location is perfect to enjoy Cable Beach.
Each of the young staff members that we came into contact with were pleasant, courteous and helpful. The resort experience is good but it could be great.
There were a few litle hiccups over the 4 days that were minor in themselves but enough to stop the resort being "the best" as Marilynne Paspaley would expect.
The one thing that definitely did not live up to our expectations was the buffet breakfast on offer for the Sat and Sun morning. This was at best a 2 star hotel breakfast. Extremely disappointing. Monday morning was much better when we were able to order individually cooked food but it still does not match the rest of this resort's standards.

Pinctada is a new boutique hotel that is really well fitted out. It appears that no expense has been spared in the rooms. The bathrooms are beautiful with very nice toiletries, lighting throughout is good, the controls are high tech and they have a Nespresso coffee machine! The only gripe i had was the constant music playing at the pool which depending on where you lounged could be quite intrusive. The music changed from jazz to dance to ambient. Breakfasts were nice although they had run out of Vegemite when we were there! It is a 10 minute walk to the beach.

having visited Broome many times I stayed with my family for the first time at the Pinctada Cable Beach Hotel. Having travelled extensively in Asia I can say Pinctada is truly a 5 Star Resort Hotel. Charming, well designed, superb SPA, nice restaurants, pool and relaxing area are very nice but most of all, very attentive, competent, friendly and well trained staff. Rooms are very well designed and come with all luxuries including a complimentary Nespresso machine! Collection of Aboriginal Art is superb. A great place to spend time away from home.

Our Shinju Balcony room, purchased the day before on Wotif was a good choice - glad we did not take a more expensive option such as a courtyard garden.
Pluses - the rooms are spacious, well equipped with quality fitout, genuine kingsized bed, great linen and towels. In-room expresso machine nice touch.
Dinner was sensation; best gnocci outside of Italy.
Not so good - Inhouse movies dated and expensive (it was raining continuously so this mattered, maybe it wouldn't usually). Bathroom windows back onto passageway and were hard to reach to close.
Staff were hit and miss, seemed to be caught very offguard by the unseasonal rain, although it had been forecast for the previous week (small example - once it stopped raining, we could not sit in one of the bars for predinner drinks because all the soft furnishings were wet - can't think why the staff didn't get them in when it started raining). Breakfast was ordinary and very overpriced for what was offered, particularly when compared to the dinner the night before.
Would love to go back when the sun is shining as the pool and spa areas looked great.
