I didn't partake in a meal there but my college ordered a plate of chunky chips (fries) which were not chunky they were cheap Birdseye chips from a pack which were $ 10.50 AUD for a small bowl which I thought was quite expensive they also took 25 mins to arrive while my fellow travellers at the table who ordered calamari and a bucket of prawns came out quite quickly at the table but broome is a lovely town the bar is a good place to watch the sun go down the sunset was spectacular

Food is probably better than other places close and venue is great but not as close to the water as one other option

“Very ordinary without the sunset.”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

You can't beat the location - best photo opportunities are from the Sunset Bar. If you want a seat on the front deck you'll need to be there before 5.30pm. The pizzas are good, one size only for $25. There's no table service for drinks, you'll need to line up for drinks with everyone else at one of the 2 bars. We tried the restaurant one night only, the food was just ok, nothing special. This establishment could be fantastic - leave the bar as is but raise the standard in the dining room. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I've rated it VG because of the position and good staff.

“Hit and miss”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

Went here for both dinner, and then breakfast. The grill looks out on Cable Beach and is spectacular at sunset.

For dinner, I walked up without a reservation at 8pm. About a 10 minute wait before I was seen to. Menu is standard modern Australian dining - I went for the ribeye with green peppercorn sauce and chips.

The sauce was quite weird, and very acidic (not like a normal peppercorn sauce) which unfortunately wrecked the dish for me. Steak cooked beautifully and very tasty, chips good too. Coffee after dinner was great. Good selection of beer and wine.

Breakfast was standard buffet fare - good selection including pancakes. Unfortunately, a proper coffee (latte/cappuccino) was not included and cost $4.50 extra which is ridiculous. This should be included in the buffet.

Overall I enjoyed sunset grill, but it was let down by a few small things (including some inattentive staff).
