Was a miserable night weather wise, so we didn’t want to venture far from our accommodation. Plan was to order takeaway . Found this place on our way to another restaurant nearby, stopped to check out the menu & ended up staying for dinner. It is a small, unassuming home in the wall - literally. Furniture is ver basic, but and you would be forgiven if you walked past as it doesn’t really make much of an impact upon presentation. (We actually initially thought it was the kebab place next to it - D2 is obsessed with kebabs).
Had it not been pelting down with rain, I will confidently say that we would not have looked at this place.
Only one person working there at the time we arrived, so despite us being the only crazies out in a storm, service was a little slow... but given her was waiter, bar tender chef & server, he did really well. That’s it for the negatives
Food. Really really good food. And LOTS of it! So much so that we ended up taking it away & having leftovers for dinner the next night (which I still couldn’t finish!). Hubby went back for more roti to have with his leftovers.
D2, who is going through an “I’m not eating phase” absolutely scoffed her dinner.
D1 has a nut allergy, & our host/chef/waiter was very happy to accommodate this.
Really grateful for the horrible weather, or we would never have found this place!
