Visit the Laksa King. The food taste better than what I eat at Malaysia.I try the Laksa, fried kway tau, Assam laksa ( spicy and sour) and I have the ice Kachang. Its was so good
If u ever come to Melboune do dine at the Laksa king, if u feel like having some spicy or Malaysia food. I bet you won't regret it

i came here on a saturday night. so the long was much expected ... i think you can call to book if you have a big group. so yes waiting to get a table took a while... and my there were a LOT of people waiting as well.. i was suprised that the people who came to dine were all different races and i was happy to see a lot of melbournians dining to taste some good asian food. this place was recommended by my friends... its opposite a train station so its easy access by public transport or car.

of course i had the laksa... and it was tasty. my friends had the laksa too. portion is just nice for one person :) the prices for a bowl of laksa was average 9$ a bowl.

i would like to come here again and try the other dishes too!

Lotsa of people rave about Laksa King, but unfortunately the laksa just cannot make it. Each bowl is $12-16, and while there is a lot of quality seafood in the bowl, the gravy is much too thin, with zero lemak and totally ruins the laksa.

At least that was what my Malaysian friends said, knowing that finding authentic food in a western world is hard. I'm not from Malaysia, but I see why they said so.

I've been eating at the Laksa King for years - doesn't matter if it's for lunch or dinner, the food is always great. Any of the laksas are always good but my favourite is Roti & chicken. In busy times it's a good idea to book and you can get an early bird discount if you're out by 6.30pm I think. Anyone who lives in the nearby area eat here whenever they can and the new premises ( a few years old now) have much more room. If it's not too busy, ask to be seated up the back near the bamboo - much nicer than the shared tables at the front.
