With family we stopped in here for lunch. Service was ok althoug hhad to call the waiter a few times for things. Some cutlery was not clean either.

But the pizzas were good. We shared a few different ones which all satisfied. We also got a pasta which just average.

This is only the 2nd pizza place we have tried on Lygon st and this was much better than our other experience. Still lots more choice we would like to try when in Melbourne again.

Famous for their chocolate pizza which is basically pizza dough drizzled over by chocolate (suspect its Nutella). Nevertheless, it was yummy!! Tried their pizza and pasta dishes, it was good. Place was busy but staff try their best to give you equal attention. We dont have to wait too long for food.

Was In melbourne early Dec. Went for Pizza as this was recommended because the great Pizza. A little bit disappointed because the pizza was very normal. No big supprise. In fact, I love another Pizza place in Singapore.

The restaurant not easy to find as it located at Lygon Street, and if you using Tram, you might end up at the wrong side of the street and need to walk quite a distance to get there.

Place not that big.. and noisy, the tables and chairs are just next to each other, and you might not have walking space if too many people there.

Avoid going during Weekends, especially dinner time.

During my family trip to Melbourne in early December, we were told of many places to eat and this was a highly recommended place for pizzas.

It wasn't all that easy to find as Lygon St. is long. if you are on the wrong end of that street, you're lost. best to have a local who really knows where this place is if not you're gonna have a good time walking, not bad actually if it works up an appetite.

Got to the place and it was crowded, and i mean table and elbow to elbow kind of crowded. if you are a for a place with space, this is not the place but to me its nice and cosy. Made our order and came the water... this is the part where the big 'BUT' comes in... "waiter, there's GLASS in my water!". Tiny chipped glass from the serving glasses they use. i think its the way they stack up their glasses during storage. Both my wife and kid's water had it but not my parents.

Best part about it, the waiter was like "oh dear... ermm hmmm *dumb founded look on his face* i'll change all these for you." yes and he takes the bottle and glasses away and never returned with the replacement. We had to ask another waiter for water again. So much for service! Geewiz and i thought Aussie hospitality and service is top-notch when it comes to eating places.

The food came and all the raves this place had and reading other's reviews, i'd take a step back from the 'highly' recommendation. The food is fine, perhaps due to the appetite built by the long walk in finding the place, BUT it being the best pizza in Melbourne? i would not know as i've no time to had tried all the pizzas there. To me, its ok to good but not great in my opinion.

I was suggested a dessert dish which is to die for, their chocolate pizza...its just 'Nutella' and pizza dough. Well that's just my honest opinion.

End of the meal and putting everything into this review, i felt it was just not that great enough and having glass in our water with sad attempts for an apology and mediocre service just doesn't cut it for us first timers. Will i return to give this place a second chance? perhaps... BUT i am sure there are just a lot more restaurants and food places for me to be trying.
