Welcomed in even though we were just a walk in with no booking. Shared a very scrummy entree and then had lamb and goat for mains, both extremely tasty. Good range of drinks and able to buy a decent shiraz by the glass. Service was very friendly and food came out in good time, overall a good experience.

The food is cooked and presented with a great deal of care. From the restaurant you can peek in to the kitchen and see how clean and well drilled the operation is. This filled me with comfort and the care certainly came across in the food that was presented to us.
There is a good selection on the menu, though maybe it could do with a couple more entree choices. We had tandoori mushrooms which were very flavoursome, followed by the chill chicken and garlic prawns. Both very well balanced mains with the right amount of spice (for us anyway).
The cost is a little on the pricey side, something you would expect to pay in the city or more popular suburbs. With not much else going on in East Melbourne it is a highlight, though you'll have to head onto the city/Richmond for the closest nightlife if you want to carry on your evening.
Pick it up and position it in a more popular suburb and it would be thriving. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Have patronised this eaatery a few times . Big plus marks are reasonable nearby parking , a rather nice , modern , comfortable , non noisy dining room and a general air of efficiency and competence . I was disappointed to find out that BYO was not an option but the wine mark up was not as severe as some . Prices generally were middle range and acceptable . All the food was reasonable in flavour and generosity of portion but one was left with an impression that it all kind of moulded together and there was not much difference in taste between the 3 different dishes we ordered.. One could describe the evening as a sort of beige night out - not unpleasant at all but not memorable or exciting .

We booked this restaurant thinking it is going to be fine dining- wrong! White table cloth alone does not make it fine dining.

The food was average. All the curries we ordered came in cream base, including the ones that didn't explicitly state that it will have cream.

I found the food a tad pricey and the wine with a generous mark up. I am happy to pay good for great food and great service.

My quest for the best Indian in Melbourne continues!

We have been here a couple of times lately after visiting our friend in hospital along the road. The food was lovely, especially the tandoori mushrooms, one serveo of rice enough for two of us, the garlic nan was nice and light but we had to ask the staff for more drinks each time we have visited, they never said enjoy your meal or how was your meal- once they give you your mains they just leave you to it and it was not as if the place was busy.Disappointing to note that you have to pay for the poppadoms, most indian restaurants nowadays give you free poppadoms. Motifs on the wine glasses of two fat indians cute...
