I visited Tsindos relatively early on a Saturday evening in October. It was spitting a light mist, so the outside tables were not very attractive. Inside the welcome was warm and sincere from every member of the team. This is a family place, now in the hands of the third generation. The food is traditional fare, well executed. I stayed on the specials chalkboard with a fish soup and a combination plate of the three special plate of the day. It seems there is always moussaka (a classic with eggplant done just right), chicken meatballs, and a pork stew. The place was filling up by 7PM, though they found space upstairs for walkins, reservations might be a good idea. This area along Lonsdale used to be a Greek village, but there are just a few places left. This one survives due to dedication, and a tight formula to ensure value.
