I visited Tsindos relatively early on a Saturday evening in October. It was spitting a light mist, so the outside tables were not very attractive. Inside the welcome was warm and sincere from every member of the team. This is a family place, now in the hands of the third generation. The food is traditional fare, well executed. I stayed on the specials chalkboard with a fish soup and a combination plate of the three special plate of the day. It seems there is always moussaka (a classic with eggplant done just right), chicken meatballs, and a pork stew. The place was filling up by 7PM, though they found space upstairs for walkins, reservations might be a good idea. This area along Lonsdale used to be a Greek village, but there are just a few places left. This one survives due to dedication, and a tight formula to ensure value.

It's a rare pleasure to experience both good food and a good venue. Tsindos did that for us - it is a lovely setting, light and pleasant with a genuine warm welcome, even on a busy night. The food was great too, as promised and decent servings. I would definitely go back.

For group booking (which we did), you can try their banquet Menu. The food is delicious and the serving is big. Make sure you are very hungry when you come here. Unfortunately for me, I filled me tummy with beautiful choco gelato 2 hours before dinner, hence I couldn't pig out much.

A very enjoyable meal. Just like a Greek Taverna. Good service, better souvlaki! We had live music from a group of people sitting around a table downstairs with guitars. An excellent night out.

Tsindos was recommended to me by other family members who'd visited recently. I wasn't disappointed and the price ($58 including dessert and a glass ot house white) was good value, while the service was attentive and courteous.
