Nine of us attended this restaurant on a Sunday. It was my brother's birthday celebration so he got to choose the venue. Five adults and four children aged from 17 to 3 years old, all accomplished diners. First of all we were taken upstairs to a corner table near the front window. We were in an alcove so it was like sitting in an oven. We forgot to mention that we had one person with a broken leg and one 8 months pregnant which was a fault on our behalf, however I doubt they could have done anything as the restaurant was very full.
The Dim Sum was okay but we usually also order other dishes to accompany the offerings. This is where things went horribly wrong. Everything we ordered such as Roast Pork, Roast Duck etc
never arrived in spite of us asking 3 different waiters to follow up. Rice and chinese vegetables took a very long time so after sometime the Birthday Boy was starting to get a little irritated. The response from the waiters was almost like "tell someone who cares". We decided to forgo sweets and get out as fast as we could. It was disappointing as we had travelled over 80 km to get there and were looking forward to the celebration. I suggested we go to The Hopetoun Tearooms to cheer everyone up!

Place to go for authentic dim sum in Melbourne CBD. Prices are reasonable and selection quite good. Service is reasonably fast on our visit on a Sunday.

Been coming to the Dragon Boat for yum cha for over 15 years but not had the chance to visit since 2009. What a mess this place has become! Very poor service, cold food and not that tidy. I don't know if it's changed hands but the experiance was woeful; the result is a brand well damaged, probably beyond repair. Shame really.

Loved Yum Cha here, we go here each year when we visit for the Melbourne cup. This time we went twice. Lovely fresh food and great variety.
