Loved the hot chocolate and chocolate spoil. Can be really busy, best seats are upstairs in the Royal Arcade. I can not go to Melbourne without a visit to Koko Black, it is now a family ritual during our Easter and Christmas trips. Don't miss their salted caramels, super delicious (Buy yourself 6, get them packaged in one of their gorgeous little boxes and then lay in a bath eating them when you return home) HEAVEN!

Shared a vanilla bean and caramel sauce dessert. Absolutely great. Could have licked the plate. Hot chocolate was as good as I've had anywhere. Staff were interactive and friendly.

Koko Black has a very atmospheric tea room upstairs over the shop in the Royal Arcade. We had a window seat overlooking the arcade. Service was prompt and friendly....the waitresses sure get a work out going up and down those stairs all day. We shared the chocolate
degustation which was absolutely delicious. Items on the menu seem a little pricey but the quality is well worth it. Would recommend a visit ,chocolate is superb and its a lovely place to chill out

Ordered two hot chocolates - one with hazelnut. They were both very tasty but so hot that my young teen daughter scalded her mouth (with blisters). I realize hot chocolate should be hot but this was ridiculous. I have never tasted something so hot - and for a child, it is unacceptable. I spoke with the manager who seemed apologetic. Never inquired as to my daughter's scalded mouth though. And we still paid for the hot chocolates. Simple fix. The baristas need to get thermometers and prepare the beverages to a reasonable temperature.
