“A real buzzy place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2012

Liked the food, service and location. If you want a quiet dinner for two not the best place to settle on. If you want a busy, lively place with great service, interesting clientele and want to sit outside, go for it.

If the weather is dry and cool you might still want to sit outside but under cover near to the heaters, otherwise it could be a bit cool.

“Great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2012

Had a great meal here earlier in the year... heaps of food and a few beers to accompany, and the bill was a mere $90 for two. Awesome value. The food is great Japanese fare to suit all palates. Ambience is well set with bench tables to accommodate any number of guests, and the staff are friendly and incredibly efficient. They took our coats and returned them forthwith.
Very efficient too was the process by which we arrived to a crowded restaurant, sat at the bar anticipating a long wait and yet were seated incredibly quickly. This will become a regular haunt for future trips to Melbourne.

“A reliable quick feed.”

We generally drop into the Chocolate Budha before a football game, show etc. It's a reliable quick feed with great menu. Highly recommended.

“Share a few”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

Share a few of the smaller plates. This is very high quality asian cuisine. The miso is awesome on a cold day. Or sit outside in summer to enjoy fed Square. The waitstaff are really friendly and helpful.

“A great spot”

Sit at the window and look out at the activities in Federation Square. The light japanese fare is tasty and inexpensive.
