A first class dining experience at all times but a particularly splendid evening when Dom and Ralph put together their popular Italian city theme nights with food, wine and song to match. Our last adventure was the "the eternal city of Rome" Look out for them on their web site and book early. All patrons are attended to with excellent service and regulars are really one of the family. A fine dining experience with accustomed Italian family hospitality.

Went here for dinner with family and were impressed with the food quality and presentation. Wine list was quite extensive and quite reasonably priced. Service was very relaxed, to the point of being slow but that's the only criticism one can find.

il Duca has been a part of East Melbourne for years. The current owners once ran the Geppeto restaurant, up the road. Due to a high demand for their food they took over the larger il Duca. That's an indication of the quality of the food. It's classic Italian, none of the trendy, silly infusions, none of the zany tricks that happens these days. You can be assured of fine food, well served on linen table cloths. The interior is spotless, nice chairs, with a quirky art collection on the walls and the room is certainly big enough.

Try the salt and pepper calamari, or the pasta of the day is always interesting, as is the 'perfect' risottos. These people know how to deal with Italian food. Their wine list has a few interesting bottles, it could do with being a tad more adventurous, with Italian imports, our only criticism. Particularly from Naples or Sicily, where they have stunning white wines. Can't wait for our next group visit! Due to it proximity, avoid footy nights.

Our choices were scampi, calimari, veal and grilled barramundi at this long-standing East Melbourne trattoria. It was quite full at 6:30 on a weekday evening - always a good sign. This is the kind of friendly, family-run place that one could eat at every night. Everything we had was excellent, with attentive service and no music.

Excellent <3. Just consistently good! Heaps of daily specials, fantastic atmosphere, with gorgeous Italian waiters & staff, great Big Hunky Italians, old & young. Lovely warm family, you almost feel a part of it. You will enjoy! Great wine list with some specially selected Sicilian wines which we can guarantee are out of this world! Very homely & feel good place, you leave with a smile on your face & a sated belly. Pizzas are known in the area to be excellent, they also do take away. Directly across from the MCG on Wellington Prde. Full most nights with locals who know they won't get better anywhere else, booking is always a good idea. Byo or at least it was on Tuesday night? Love it, love it! Thanks Dom & crew.
