“Cool little place with a difference”

Coda is one of Melbourne's many "hole in the wall" type restaurant. Brilliant atmosphere and as soon as you walk in, you feel like you are taken away somewhere different. The staff are great in welcoming you & then explaining the wine list and menu. Coda does things a little different in that you order small amounts from a menu. I have to say the Menu has a look of great options on it, but not a lot of the classics that they could spin their way. I had the pork rib which melted off the bone and in my mouth so no complaints there. Wines are matched accordingly and again, definitely no complaints. The one thing the staff excel at, is tailoring the menu for you. If you haven't eaten at a restaurant that serves this way, the staff will ask you some questions on your likes and dislikes, then give you the best options they think you will love. Overall, great place.

“The Best”

3 trips to Coda and each has been excellent and different. Dinner a the bar then a long Sunday lunch and finally a quiet table in the corner.
Probably recommend sitting at the bar as this is where you get the feel and unique vibe as well as see and hear the kitchen.

“We toasted the roast!”

We took advantage of a special 'toast the roast' deal at Coda. The welcome was warm, the roast chicken tasty ( although a little over salted) and the glass of wine generous. All for $29! The Adelaidian waitress was charming and setting classy. Great night out but check prices as this was a special winter deal.

“Quite the find!”

A friend recommended this - and I owe her my thanks. After a hectic three days in Melbourne this was a last night treat. Billed as French/Vietnamese it's a feast of fresh flavours served with style and charm

“Excellent breakfast”

Best breaky in Melbourne by far. Salmon and bread were fresh and the coffee was just right! I also had the crab and oysters which were very enjoyable.
