The food at Grossi is certainly of high standard as are the staff. Our waiter James was very attentive, knew the menus and wine list very well and nothing was too much trouble. I had the pork belly which, although not identified as such on the menu, was very spicy and rather too hot for me. James suggested trying a salad with it which did tone it down and made it very enjoyable. Yes I was charged for the salad, but not full price. Knowing that this would tone down the spice was indeed valuable indicating the quality of staff at this restaurant. My companions said the crème Brule was the best they had ever eaten, and believe me they have tried them all! Definitely worth a visit if you are in Melbourne, try the Prosecco as an aperitif, delicious.
