Owner description: Nothing you have ever experienced will prepare you for the awe inspiring view of Melbourne from the observation deck of the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. Located at Level 88, Eureka Skydeck is Melbourne's new 'must-see' attraction. Skydeck 88 is the only observation deck in the world that can thrill you with the Edge - a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building, with you in it!

“Eureka Skydeck and The Edge”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

The sky deck had nice views of Melbourne and good directionals with info. We paid extra to do The Edge experience. The put you in an all glass box. The glass is opaque as they slide the box outside the building. The glass is cleared giving you a view of the city out the three sides and the floor. If you are not afraid of heiths it can be a great experience.

“Beautiful views”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

As it was our first visit to Melbourne the Eureka skydeck was really good! The views are just beautiful and there are viewing cylinders that magnify certain Melbourne attractions which was a nice touch. My boyfriend went out on to the edge and got a photo taken and said it was really cool to look down the glass bottom! Definitely worth the trip.

“A must if visiting or if you live in Melbourne!!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Great views of Melbourne from all angles! we managed to see where we live from the microscopes that are scattered around the floors ready for use.
The Skydeck was a little scary for me - the sound of glass breaking for effect while the deck extends was not necessary however you really need to do it and experience the whole thing. A little expensive especially when you buy the photos from the skydeck (a must especially if you are scared out of your mind). Definately worth doing.

“Great starting point in Melbourne”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

I highly recommend checking this out on your first trip to Melbourne! It provides a 360 degree view of the city, outer suburbs and attractions and is an excellent place to get your bearings. Very useful start to planning your stay in Melbourne, as it points out many of the major attractions such as the MCG, the docklands, the shrine of remembrance etc. If you're brave enough, you can even walk out over the EDGE, a glass box suspended in the air hundreds of metres above the ground. Beautiful view.

“OK view but the EDGE is cool”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Since its the highest building in Melbourne, you will have a good panoramic view of the city which is nice in a clear day. The cost is OK and you get a student discount if you have a student card. There is a small open area to see the city and feel the cold strong wind.

After reaching the 88 floor you can pay another fee for the EDGE experience (again, student discount). This is very nice and its a different experience. It is a clear glass room which moves 3 meters out side the building and you stay there for 5 minutes. You have your photo taker there. This is way better then the panoramic view if you are not afraid of highest.

I would recommend the skydeck only if you will do the EDGE experience.
