Owner description: Nothing you have ever experienced will prepare you for the awe inspiring view of Melbourne from the observation deck of the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. Located at Level 88, Eureka Skydeck is Melbourne's new 'must-see' attraction. Skydeck 88 is the only observation deck in the world that can thrill you with the Edge - a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building, with you in it!

“Amazing Views!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

I spent the best part of 90 minutes here, just taking in the views of Melbourne. I had totally fallen in love with the city by this point, so to see it from the tallest building in the southern hemisphere was pretty special. The views were amazing and i really liked all the little binoculars pointed at certain landmarks, explaining what they all were. I am glad i got to experience the breathtaking views before i left Melbourne.

“Spectacular Views”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

We visited Eureka 90 minutes before the sun set and waited till dark before leaving, as my partner is a keen photographer.

The lift was quick but this time didn't really notice my ears 'pop' like other lifts while going to towers / observation decks.

There weren't many people up there when we arrived but as the sun started to set, the whole area was full of visitors and the area became extremely noisy, including unsupervised children running around.

There is a small area to buy snacks / drinks, and toilet facilities.

We didn't try the 'Edge' but many did while we were there and visitors seemed to enjoy the experience the Edge offered.

“Not to be missed.”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Ascend using the high speed elevators and see Melbourne from the highest point in the city. The views are amazing, and be sure to pay the extra charge for "The Edge". It is a glass enclosed booth with a glass floor that moves out a meter away from the building so you can look directly down at the city below.

“Great vieuws, not so great pictures due to tinted glass.”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We where here during daytime. Views where good, but because there is color-tinted film on most of the glass (in different colors as well) pictures are so-so. But the (small) outside area is good for making pictures, but can be a bit crowded. Fun nonetheless, for about 0.5 - 1 hour.

You can get a discount in different ways, for instance there is a coupon in the free melbourne map book (you can get that in the Tourist center) and I think you get a discount if you show your myki card (public transport card) as well.

“A fantastic experience”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We bought the combined ticked for the day and evening viewings and the views were very different because of the change of light. It did get very crowded in the evening as this combined tickets very popular. We went out onto "the edge" for the full experience. (There is an extra charge, but well worth it).
