Owner description: Nothing you have ever experienced will prepare you for the awe inspiring view of Melbourne from the observation deck of the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. Located at Level 88, Eureka Skydeck is Melbourne's new 'must-see' attraction. Skydeck 88 is the only observation deck in the world that can thrill you with the Edge - a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building, with you in it!

“Lovely panoramic views, but give The Edge a miss”
Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

Eureka Skydeck affords amazing 360 degree views of Melbourne all the way out to Port Philip bay on a clear day and is, I think, a must see destination for anyone new to Melbourne. It really lets you get your bearings in the city, being able to gaze down at all the other attractions like Federation Square, Rod Laver Arena, Flinders Station, The Arts Centre and National Gallery, etc.
We were able to find a coupon for 10% discount on the price of admission in the Official Melbourne Visitor Guide Book so grab one and have a look (can be found in tourist information at Federation Square).
Eureka Skydeck also offers 'The Edge' experience which is a box made of glass (floor too) which extends out from the side of the building for an additional fee. It sounds scary, but to be honest it was not that great, certainly the views are not that much better than you would see inside the tower. Additionally there is a caged open air platform right next to the where The Edge extends out, and anyone can step out onto this platform without charge. I thought this was actually much better than the Edge. Also, cameras are not permitted within the Edge experience so if you would like a photo then you must purchase the one they take for you. I recommend skipping The Edge unless you are really keen.
All in all though, a good worthwhile visit.

“Towering over Melbourne”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

Have been here twice, and would not mind going there again. Supposedly the tallest residential structure in the Southern Hemisphere, it would be a dream to live in one of the apartments there and get a 360 degree view of Melbourne every single day!!

Can't decide which one is better...the view by day or night, but I would be partial to the view of the city at dusk when everything starts getting lit up. It is awesome! The tickets of The Edge are overpriced, and I would have much preferred taking my own photographs, but its unfortunately forbidden.

The open air deck can get very windy at times, but you can enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the views from the large windows. I love the golden bees at the entrance of this building in South Bank :)

“Great views”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

The tower itself is fantastic and well worth the money, the views are great from every angle and the lift very quick indeed. My only problem with the skydeck was the ridiculous price of "the edge" not only do they charge you 12 dollars for it, they will not let you take your camera in so you have to purchase the ones taken on there camera which was expensive to say the least.
However the skydeck is well worth the visit just do not do the edge.

“Best view during Sunset”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

I have been here on numerous occasions, mainly being a tourist guide for my friends and family. The view from up the deck is magnificent! Took a lot of photos, with handy mini 'scopes to tell you what landmark is in front of you.
I have done 'The Edge' twice, and personally I wouldn't pay for myself. *waste of money*
Keep that extra money for a cruise on Yarra River instead.
