Owner description: Nothing you have ever experienced will prepare you for the awe inspiring view of Melbourne from the observation deck of the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. Located at Level 88, Eureka Skydeck is Melbourne's new 'must-see' attraction. Skydeck 88 is the only observation deck in the world that can thrill you with the Edge - a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building, with you in it!

We were a bit disappointed with our visit. Having visited the Rialto Tower on a previous visit to Melbourne 6 years ago, we were expecting much more of Eureka.

On a brighter note we had a very nice coffee and cake at a reasonable price.

Really worthwhile. Great views - puts the city of Melbourne into prospective. I didn't do the edge experience but for those who aren't scared of heights it would be a great experience.

If you don't have a head for heights then this is not the place for you, however if you're wanting to challenge yourself this is the place to do it. The views are amazing, you look all over Melbourne 360 degrees. And if you get there at Sunset ....even better the view across the bay was incredible.
When you first get out of the lift, it is a little bit disorienting..take some time if you need too. take a breath and walk to have a look at the view, some people might find the floor a little odd as in some areas it tapers up to the edge...all part of the experience. If you're feeling like you want to live on the edge, take the step and go on the unique experience of the Edge ....this takes you on a glass bottomed box sliding away from the building, I didn't do this though my Husband, daughter and our international friend did....they loved it ...
You can get drinks and snacks up there as well so you can stay a while and really take advantage of the views.

Worth going up the tower for some decent views. Think it was $17.50 entrance at the time I went plus and additional cost for the edge experience. Didn't do the 'edge' as didn't look worth the money, basically a sideways elevator with a glass floor and nothing really to look down onto.

Well worth a visit. On a clear day excellent views of the city. Lifts are extremely fast and staff are helpful and well organised.
