Was staying at the hotel, because of a business conference and found the hotel room to be a delight, managed to get a good night sleep, used the gym facilities and managed to get a great buffet breakfast... not a flashy hotel but, it has what a you need... and thats what matters.

Stayed from Sunday night with checkout on Thursday and enjoyed the stay. Got an excellent rate for the room and was very pleased with the location. Check in was seamless and pleasant at 12:30am after a late flight.

Room was a typical hotel room and appeared to be clean. Nightclub was not open during our stay, however we looked down onto it from our 6th story room and could see how sleep would be quite impossible if it were open.

Iron in room was quite convenient. Did not use the mini bar but prices were quite low compared to most mini bars.

Location was extremely convenient and we were able to walk everywhere in the city. Close to tram stations and easy walk to Flinders St or Southern Cross train stations.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a mid-week stay.

Perhaps if you are of a generation to enjoy sleeping over a nightclub, you might enjoy this hotel. We aren't, and found it noisy even on the seventh floor. We also found having the bouncer give us the one-over every time we re-entered was a bit intimidating!

The staff appeared young and (no doubt) trendy, but when we asked for suggestions for where to get a meal in Melbourne on a Thursday evening, the receptionist directed us (unless we misunderstood?) to a Subway! Luckily we had a map and walked eight blocks to Chinatown instead.

The room was quite large, with a sofa, but the bed was very soft and rather collapsed in the middle.

Positive: Breakfast at cafe next door
Negative:
1. On the 5th floor and nightclub noise was pounding till 6 am in the morning. If you do not wish to sleep then this is the place for you. Do not stay when the night club is running.
2. No plugs for the hand basin or bath/spa. Staff were not helpful at all in acquiring one. Fell asleep waiting. It did not turn up.
3. No batteries in the room safe so could not use. Staff did not have any.
4. Cold water shower tap came off in hand.

At check in, we were advised there may be some noise from the club within the hotel. Requesting a move to a quieter room, we were advised we couldn't be moved and were instead offerred ear-plugs.
Our room was 'fair', so far as CBD hotels are concerned, maybe a touch small, the hotel lift archaic and clunky, our TV was tiny with terrible reception and the shower ran out of hot water crazy quick.
After a wonderful night out, we returned to the hotel (@1am) to find the club pumping. The noise is unreal,.. the doof-doof much akin to water torture,.. the kind that you not only hear, but feel,.. resonating through your body. We were advised the noise would continue til 5am, but it was more like 5:30am,.. and the rhythmic thumping continues to echo inside my head 2 dyas later. I think the hotel needs to figure out if they are actually a hotel or a nightclub!?

On the plus side, the staff were extremely polite (almost sympathetic) and if you are that way inclined, there was enough 18y/o skirt running around to sell out a Justin Beiber concert thrice over.

Stayed for one night with my two teenage children.
The room was very clean and comfortable and set up as requested with three individual bedding arrangements.
Everything worked in the room, as intended - the heater, the tv, and plenty of hot water. There were no unfriendly surprises.
We received a bottle of red wine on arrival, and the staff were more than helpful when needed. They were friendly & attentive when we needed direction in how to pay for parking and where the Buffet Breakfast was to be held.
Accidentally, I had left a couple of items in the room after check out, and was contacted promptly and the items returned.

I stayed at Citiclub in the Superior room for couple nites during my holiday in Melbourne with a friend and we enjoy it.
Room was clean and big enought, amenities and towel and linen also not bad quality with the spacious bathroom.
They have nice restaurant with good foods and the bar also good.
Location is great, easy to get around at CBD, good place for holiday and bussiness.
The only thing I found not very nice was, when we have to had our breakfast the staff point us to have it at the small shop on main street cross the parking area of the hotel. ( not sure whether that place is their permanent restaurant to serve daily breakfast for the hotel guests or just temporarily ) why must be there and really it wasnt very conveniece when we having our breakfast and some people came inside looking for the things in the shop, but it not an issue as I only paid for a very reasonable price for this service and pacility, so why should I bother to complaint.
