“stunning property”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

A wonderful place to spend a day in. The gardens are immaculate. The house offers lovely views. Great food.

Over the years, I've visited this place at least 5 times, and each time I'm in awe. I've even attended a wedding there, and it was so romantic and lovely.

PLEASE NOTE that currently, they only allow group bookings as they're undergoing renovations! It's best to phone ahead on 98272500

“House tour a must”

House tour was fascinating and the grounds are beautiful to relax in with a picnic or a coffee and cake from the cafe!

“Great old house”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012

The setting is quiet and gardens lovely. The residence is preserved as it was as residence. We enjoyed the function room in the Garden for a birthday party.
Victorian artifacts in the house educational and well displayed.See some early Melbourne history and try to imagine it as it was surrounded by farmland and river only!

“Antique and Awesome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2012

It's beautiful, truly gorgeous, smaller but on par with Ripponlea and Werribee. It has some exhibits occasionally and have seen some wonderful art there but worth a visit simply for the antiques, the setting, the rooms and the grounds.
