“A retreat from the hustle and bustle of the CBD”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

There are many excellent specialty ships and the tea rooms are well worth a vista do try the asparagus rolls or a cake with a cup of Russian Caravan to die for. there is I discovered some years ago a little piece of Italy hidden on the corner inside the arcade " Caffe D' Uomo" ask for Peter 0396505041 say George sent you the food is traditional and authentically Italian, cooked by the Italian owners and is very reasonably priced I dine there regularly when ever I get to Melbourne the saltimbocca is to die for and when the veals in, with Vino Bianca I am in heaven. Gret place to relax.

“Iconic”

Lots of little shops to see and explore. You can get lost in here, with all the alleys and shortcuts so if you are a tourist in Melbourne, be sure you bring a map. The High Tea room is always busy here.

“Block Arcade...old world elegance”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

If you're in Melbourne make sure you go for a wander through Block Arcade...or stop for coffee/tea at the Hopetoun Tearooms. This arcade has oodles of old world elegance, beautiful, unique shops and, of course, the famous tearooms. I love the quiet, old world ambience and the beautiful architecture. It is a Melbourne gem.
