The whole complex of gardens stretching from St Kilda Road to the Yarra River on one side and the Botanical Gardens on the other and encompassing the Shrine of Remembrance is a beautiful relaxing area to wander through, particularly in Autumn when the leaves turn colour. You can stop for a coffee & light lunch/breakfast or if you're feeling
more energetic, jog or run around the Tan that encircles the Botanical Gardens. A note of warning - if you want to avoid running up the killer hill in Anderson Street, run the Tan anti clockwise. Parking can be a problem, particularly on weekends.
