We had stayed at some shocking hotels in Melbourne city, thought we'd stay here. For the price much better than the other two places, and the room was well set out with great pillows and doona. Only problem was the bed was two singles pushed together. Room service great, overall awesome room.

Part of the main Casino complex and difficult to avoid casino which is large. Rooms very good with floor to ceiling windows which allows good views and interesting aspect. Pool on third floor and good. Hotel close to main restaurant areas and many other areas of interest. Would recommend. Car parking available at hotel at $25 per day

We stayed here for two nights and can not fault the hotel in anyway. Check-in was speedy and friendly. Our room on the top floor was large and very, very comfortable. We had large windows which overlooked the highway with views beyond to the sea (I would have preferred looking over the Yarra but ... ) Small quible re the reading lights - my recollections is that they were pot type lights in the ceiling and I found it slightly inconvienient for early morning reading (jet lag still) as they illuminated more of the room than I would like (my husband did not suffer from jet lag as much and wanted to sleep later than me).

The pool, workout and business areas were fantastic. The access to the casio would be great if you like to gamble (which I don't) but it was still fun to stroll and people watch. The restaurants were really overpriced in the entire complex. The food court in the casino the exception. If you are looking for fantastic asian food head to the Richmond neighbourhood.

The Crown Promenade is my favourite hotel worldwide - and I'm a very frequent business and leisure traveller. Here's why:
- Rooms are spacious, modern contemporary decor
- Bathrooms have a fantastic (huge) shower. No bath so perhaps an issue if you have kids or fancy a soak.
- Good toiletries, although house brand. Towels always like new and soft.
- Beds are great! Ensure a restful sleep, crisp linens, great pillows
- Air conditioning individually adjustable, quiet.
- Rooms are quiet - never get noise from halls or room adjacent.
- Room Service is great quality and fairly priced. Meals have always arrived fresh and fairly quickly.
- Hotel looks after frequent guests with an arrival amenity and frequent room upgrades (usually to corner suites)
- Concierge has gone out of the way to get me theatre tickets to a performance when no-one else could (they got house seats)
- Pool deck is awesome. 20M heated indoor pool, qualify gym equipment, steamroom and sauna in mens changeroom.
- Breakfast at Mesh has a good selection, but expensive. I eat out.
- Location is great for additional restaurants and cafe's nearby in SouthBank.
- Internet access from rooms (cable not wireless) is speedy and fairly priced (by Australian standards)

If money is no object, eat at Rockpool in the advacent Crown complex. One of the best restaurants I've eaten at for quality steaks and a matching wine list. Best coffee is located nearby at cafe called "the Bond Store" - get the concierge to give you directions.

OK, so I admit it, I just love this hotel. It's situated next to the Crown Casino, on the south bank of the Yarra river. The hotel is brilliant. As modern as you can get. Always clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and the room are fabulously appointed. It's an easy stroll over the footbridge to the Casino complex with its movie complex and copious food establishments. Great value for money. This hotel would quite honestly be my favourite in this city. Do yourself a favour and stay here. You'll be thankful you did. :-)

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff is incredible. The rooms are so well designed that I want to add some of the features into my home. Very comfortable bed. Excellent views from the 22nd floor. One of the best executed hotel gyms I have ever worked out in. Attached to the Crown Center, which is a large casino and entertainment complex. Fun to visit; with loads of restaurants of all price points. Casino was always crowded (which isn't a big plus for me), but very well maintained. Room Service was delicious, prompt and very affordable. I didn't pay extra for a "corner room", but still had a room with an amazing view. If this place fits your budget, I would recommend you booking.

Booked the crown promenade for 5 nights after reading the great reviews on TA. It clearly deserves the commendations even though it's a tad pricey. The rooms were great. Clean sheets. Pillows were fluff. The only grouch is that the water temp is not very consistent. The bathrooms were clean and big. No tub though, only a shower. Great view as the room I had was at the highest floor. Staff were polite and friendly. Coffee and tea sachets were even provided for free! Just a short walk across the river to the city. Nice walk at night at the bank. Certainly recommend the hotel!
