My favourite haven in Melbourne is the Royal Botanic Gardens! Great for picnics and for walks to rejuvenate and relax your body and spirit . You can physically feel your body and mind relaxing, Well signposted for directions to various special botanical collections. The amazing varieties of plants and trees and, especially in Spring , when there is an explosion of beautiful colours is to die for.

I moved to Melbourne 12 years ago, attracted by its ease of getting around, public transport network and fantastic array of parks and gardens/ Melbourne is a city of 4 seasons and its parks are largely planted with deciduous European varieties. I never feel hemmed in by suburbia
