“Unique space, relaxed atmosphere”
Review of Testing Grounds

Testing Grounds
Ranked #47 of 96 Fun & Games in Melbourne
Attraction details
Reviewed January 9, 2014

This is a good use of wasted space in an inner urban landscape. nestled on an empty lot, next to busy City Road it has been turned into a usable, family friendly public space. They serve drinks from a converted shipping container, and several pop up food vans are open in the evenings. Testing Grounds is a free open-air art space. It is a place for experimentation and testing ideas, for public gatherings and educational opportunities in the heart of Melbourne's arts and cultural precinct. It has wooden pallets for seats and tables, more free form than anything else. Big umbrellas for shade. Drinks were around $7-9 for a glass and they sell by the bottle also. Snacks were around $6.
