I must admit I didn't exactly have high expectations of this place but booked it because of location, along with it being new and...cheap. It also has some decent reviews which I would agree with after my short - long weekend - stay. It's a budget offering that represents excellent value in Melbourne.
Based on some of the other reviews I thought I would confronted with a number of different add-ons but all was inclusive. The towels and toiletries came in cute black bags with the cheerful Tune printed graphics.
The rooms are small but not claustrophobic and decorated in a pleasant contemporary style. Most importantly it has a decent bed - it's budget but they haven't skimped on the things that matter. The property opened last year and still looks spanking new and was spotlessly clean.
Wifi was included but I can't comment on this as I used my cell phone. I was able to watch a bunch of World Cup games on the flatscreen. For a longer stay, the fact there is no refrigerator would probably become an issue but for a short stay where you're not spending a lot of time in the room, this place is absolutely fine.
Downstairs there are a bunch of sofa's along with some PC's if you didn't bring a laptop. The cafe seems a comfy place to hang out. Probably more people would frequent it if they brought their prices down a bit.
No issues regarding service - check-in a breeze and the front desk were happy to arrange my pick-up to the airport at the end of my stay. If their prices remain competitive, certainly I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again.
