Great restaurant with a changing menu. Food is sensational and the staff are always upbeat, friendly and attentive.
Can be a little noisy so do not worry about taking your children. Have been a few times and have never been disappointed. Always save a little room for dessert

Went with a group of friends and had the $50set menu. Food was good but felt we were being rushed through the meal. Our waiter did slow the service when we asked or we could have been out in an hour. It's a fun relaxed atmosphere and I thought it was very reasonable for what we had. Kitchen is open plan and I was shocked to see that after they deep fry your hot chips they also squeeze oil on the top to add flavor. Maybe some things are better not seen!

The flavour and quality coming from the Gazi kitchen is great. The atmosphere is good if you enjoy a busy restaurant vibe.

The lunch special should be skipped. For $22 you get little more than a small souvlaki. Grossly overpriced. You are better off grabbing take away souvlaki for $10 a pop, maybe adding some chips to share with friends, and eating elsewhere.

All the hype about the place and I left disappointed.

If you are interested in Greek/Mediterranean food, we tried this restaurant in Melbourne last weekend and it was pretty impressive.
Reasonably priced food which can be bought to share tapas style with what we thought was a good variety of tastes.
Cost for three adults including drinks and desserts was only $125.

If you want to go we would suggest you book ahead to ensure a table, however you could roll the dice like we did and end up on the communal table – that’s not so bad, you are just sitting on a stool and having unrelated people eat with you.

I was in Melbourne for business and wanted to go to one of the restaurants owned by the masterchef judges, Gazi seemed to fit the bill and my budget and I managed to get a reservation for the same day.
As I was a solo diner and the restaurant was packed on a friday night, i was seated at the chefs table so i could watch them prepare the dishes. The service all night was great and very friendly with the waiter recommending dishes to me. It is a little difficult to try some of the smaller dishes when its just one person as you have noone to share them with but i wanted to try a few different things. The crab souvla was especially good. So good I had to make room for dessert and I had a blood orange parfait. This did let it down a little for me as the dessert tasted very artificial and a little rubbery but the rest of the experience was great and made an excellent memory.
